Plex literally cannot make CINE pony up with any cash. The court decision will apply in one territory only-Canada. And plex will be an unsecured lender behind other lenders in the queue. The amount of around £700M is only 3 months worth of loans(read losses) during the covid era, which lasted more than a year. Cine can easily kick the can down the road, or pay it of with a different loan.

The cost of damages is not final and is still in question. The decision will happen when CINE is in better financial health and with a better standing with its lenders. Dilution is not the only option. CINE did not dilute during lockdown. it is unlikely they will when Screens are up.
