@BB: A hoof is a noun and hoofs are the traditional plural form of a hoof. You are describing verbs, it would appear to me old chap that you quite clearly didn’t pass your 11 plus exam.

Looking at flights to New York, BA have 9 flights on a Friday schedule in November, one of the benefits of running an airline is that you receive most of your cash upfront. I have no concerns holding this stock.

@Fugo: Again, you are manipulating statements, IAG stated that if a severe downturn occurred with new strains which led to further prolonged lockdowns, that the board could not rule out further funding. If that was to occur the whole FTSE would implode and all my dosh would be in Gold. They actually have enough liquidity until December 2022 based on current projections. I suggest that you read through the H1 results thoroughly and understand your stock, wether to deramp or ramp. Regarding the Odey situation, I won’t shed a tear, this stock is probably not volatile enough for them now and we don’t even know what the extent of their investment was, often they buy them to lend them out.

Virgin Atlantic is in a precarious situation because of their reliance on pond crossings, have a gander at the flights that BA are sending to the UAE, Hong Kong, India and the Caribbean. Look at what Iberia are doing, the European flights from all IAG companies are doing very well. In 2019 IAG turned over 6.5 billion in the third quarter, if you multiply that by 45% it is looking tasty. If things continue as they are there will be no cash calls. Covid is not going away and we have to learn to live with it, life will return to normal and IAG are poised to take advantage of the pent up demand. Trust me, you can’t run an airline with Gov’t influence on the board, IAG will be the dominant airline in Europe and the preferred carrier for pond crossings, just like the good old days but without the excess costs.

Well if Mararab thinks that IAG loses 4 billion in a quarter , he should be holding out for 40p.

@Mararab: Little piece of advice, if you are going to be a BB deramper you must know your stock. The operating loss last quarter was shy of a billion pounds, which culminated in a 2 billion loss for H1. If you factor in the turnover for the 3rd quarter up to 45% of 2019 figures, it could be met. Your figures are incorrect.

3rd quarter results, Friday the 5th of November, so hopefully no fire works. Ideally, we need to see a loss South of 0.5 billion.

I can't help but feel that the SP is being held back and I have no doubt that we will see 200p within weeks with the current uptick in travel but there is no doubt that the SP has been parked on the Apron until America opens before we see the big gains. A good sign is that Lufthansa are opening their 1st Class terminal on the 1st of September and previously it was communicated that it would only be opened when USA travel starts, so a good indicator.

Yesterday was not great news and BJ has well and truly shafted the travel/Aviation industry, but have no fear, the retribution will be swift and decisive and the poor souls that will pay are the employees. What you will see in the coming weeks is redundancy announcements from all the airlines/holiday companies with the majority coming from the airports to coincide with the end of Furlough. It is sad but the markets do love a good culling. I have close links with Italy, and it is night and day what is happening in the travel industry over there, they can travel to most places and the Government even pay for their travel tests. Putting Mexico on Red was a deliberate attempt to throw a smoke screen over UK International travel and the British Government should be ashamed of themselves. Then they announce that they are increasing the costs of the Government hotels, propaganda at its best.

@Sadanby: There is one short on the stock, Citadel at 0.6%, a smidging above the public declaration. That to me indicates positive sentiment.

Jtan: A gentleman never discusses monetary value, it is not the done thing my old chap.

Also Fairy, the sell off was overdone on Friday, then greedy MM’s looking to pick some cheap stock as they know they will make a killing in the coming weeks. Sun is right a 4% increase is not a jump with this stock, I have seen it bounce 42% in less than 3 weeks.

@BB: I have a significant shareholding in IAG and from the 1st of July I have posted 19 messages on the BB. It would appear that you have no holding in IAG and you have made 239 postings since the 1st of July. The question I ask myself is why? What is your agenda? Are you lonely? BB, I was brought up to never make fun of the afflicted, but you really need to shut the feck up.

@Jtan: Do you actually have any IAG stock? I see that you are always very negative towards IAG but what is your motivation? Do you lack the ball-s to make a position here or are you just a fricking sad individual. I see that you are in Nex, as was I when I bought it for 116p, I have since sold out to put everything in IAG but I wouldn’t dream
of going on the Nex BB to deramp the stock, we are all here to make some money against the whales, so grow some ba-lls and shut the feck up.

A bit overdone in my opinion, the market expected those figures today so amazed by the reaction. A few PI's shaken out today. You don't have to be Einstein to figure out that if this s-hite continues for another 6 months then IAG are going to be in trouble. They have a couple of quarters left to get neutral and if we are still in this mess in December it is game over, as I have said many times this share is not for the nervous and that is the reason why it is a value share. I sold all my buses to top up and so flying solo with IAG, fortune favours the brave, bring it on Monday and remember it is only money!
