I am in Malta and have a Covid test booked for Thursday, I would be fecked if me or the Mrs got a positive. The reason why European aviation is at pre-Covid is down to one factor- COVID TESTS.

The fundamentals have not changed only the perception. Emotion is the enemy of investing, if you understand a share you don’t have to rely on emotion. There will be no RI before summer 2022. The outlook is good as things will change as , BJ knows that he has to warm up the economy with Furlough ending, what we saw last week was the share being manipulated, legally, to shakeout nervous PI’s and it has worked. There will be no RNS from IAG on this matter as it is all unsubstantiated rumour. The price is being driven down to shake out nervous investors. Patience and balls is what is needed.

What an interesting day that was? I knew those pesky MM’s would play on the woes of EJ to shake a few More IAG PI’s into submission. I was actually a tad disappointed it didn’t finish blue today, but well done for all of you who bought in at sub 150p you will be duly awarded. It was cloudy in Malta today so I visited the war Cemetery and Siege Bell Monument and it does put things into perspective when we remember all those brave souls who gave their lives for our freedom and Liberty. Always remember folks it is only money. Poor old EJ, it is hard to make cash from this industry when you have over 25 bases, always easier to run an airline with a couple of bases and concentrate on being hub centric, ohh just like IAG really. I am looking forward to the 5th of November when IAG release their 3rd quarter results, anything South of 0.5 billion loss will be positive and for those of you who can be arsed to read their accounts will know that cash calls will not be on the horizon for at least 18 months and if the worst did happen, it would be an IP. The USA provides the honey but we might just find that the current state of play breaks even.

Typing this looking at the beautiful blue sea at Malta. I flew with Lufthansa via Frankfurt as they have got some really good deals on. I flew Business of course and both legs were about 90% full, Frankfurt airport was like pre-Covid but Blighty was about 50% pre-Covid. Them Europeans make UK PLC look so inadequate on the travel front, no Covid tests required transiting Germany (Double jabbed) and none required for Green Countries of course. The Covid tests for me and the Mrs will cost us 130 quid, 2no day twos and a couple of Antigens before leaving Malta. I just can’t understand why everyone is not cracking on and holidaying abroad. The UK for a staycation? Not on your fecking life, great for sneaky weekend and a few days here and there but you can’t beat that Mediterranean feeling to relax. I have no concerns about my holding. I am about 10% below water but we have hit the bottom. My view is lock it away for a couple of years and trade the Aims. Good to see the apocalypse gang sprouting their s-hite, if anything they are entertaining. Got to go, this wine isn’t going to drink itself.

@Nock: Doesn’t look like it, it is 0.5% up in Madrid today, so I can’t see it.

@Coolebenji: The quoted cash burn does not include revenue but also does not include variable costs. If IAG is not breaking even on operations the losses will mount. IAG need to get the third quarter loss South of 0.5 billion, which would be be a positive result. If the losses are similar to the 2nd quarter this will be viewed negatively from the city. The Delta spread in the USA has slowed the train but not derailed it, IAG need the pond routes to open but I can’t see it until the autumn now, once it happens the reversal will be dramatic. I am hoping that with the current marketing promotions they are pulling plenty of cash in. There is a 75% chance that this share will be at least 400p in 3-4 years and a 25% chance they have to make cash calls in the new year and that is why the SP is where it is. If you can’t afford the risk of losing your cash don’t buy IAG shares, simples.
