Fugo is correct they have gone up but they increased last Wednesday and Friday, to be fair most people on here thought it was going to be Nuclear on Friday, no changes today though. IMO a 3% short is nothing to be worried about.

Obviously, The important factor today was that the share did not bomb, it doesn’t take too much sentiment/news to create FUD with this share. Let’s see what Uncle Joe has to say. Once it is confirmed that the symptoms are mild or current vaccines prevent serious illness it will rip.

I am quite happy with that, if BJ talked about closing borders and further harsh restrictions it would have been bad news on Monday. A Randox PCR delivered to you home costs 43 quid and they guarantee results by the next day, if you drop it off by 1pm you get the results by 9am the next morning, at the most it means a 24 hour quarantine. Friday was overdone and the markets will price through this, never underestimate this share, I am glad I did not sell out on Friday, the Scientists have been firmly told that we have to live with this, there is no going back. There is one thing for sure, them City Boys have made a killing today. It is so easy to manipulate the market, this story has been brewing for over 72 hours.

If an individual can be bothered to take two vaccines, the hardship of taking a booster is negligible. The hardship of taking a booster every six months is negligible. The battle ground has been set, the vaccinated against the unvaccinated, there will be no lock downs in the USA and mainland Europe as that will be penalising the vaccinated. We have to live with it and all this rubbish about not travelling for business is naive, anyone in business knows that that face to face can never be replaced. Hold your nerve until the spring and you will be rewarded.

It will go up, make no mistake, but before that the nervous and impatient will sell. I have been trading this share for years and this pattern is not uncommon, I can remember days when it has jumped more than 20% in a day, Switch off your computers and come back in January, don’t let the MM’s play you.

@Benji: Covid. The Dutch are issuing a statement tonight about further restrictions and there is a lot of tension in Germany. All travel shares are suffering.

Just got back in at 174.18p with my trading pot. It may go down tomorrow but it will back up to 180p at the end of the week and 200p very soon. A few more jitters with the Spread of Covid in Europe.

@Longterm: a 2.2% short is Insignificant, you will never see a short squeeze at those levels due to the average daily volumes. Hedge funds often take out shorts to hedge and also pair, which is a favoured investing strategy. Even when the short was 3% I was never concerned. Don’t expect to see those shorts evaporate completely, they won’t.

The shorts are down again, 2.20 as opposed to 2.93 on Monday last. That figure represents positive sentiment. We are winning the battle against Covid and there isn’t a share in the FTSE 100 that will have a recoil like this. There will be down days but if you aren’t trading you will have no worries mid/long term.

Sold my trading pot at 4.29, I should have done it 2 minutes earlier. A profit is a profit and 12% on a trade is a good deal in anyones book. My main pot which is my future consists of one share, IAG, and that will not be touched for 5 years, by that time it will be 500p. I hope it goes up on Monday chaps, but if it retraces, I will be back in. GLA and welcome to stability.
