Exit price 400p, maybe a couple of years, I am in no rush.

Where will it bottom: We are there, if it goes below 170p I will sell my Nex and if it goes below 160p I will sell my GOG and then I will prey.

This reminds of those heady days last summer, when the share regularly peaked and dropped 10% plus in a day, I recall one day of trotting off to make a coffee and when I returned to the screen it had dropped 6%.

As I often say on this BB, IAG is not for the nervous, but you can make some serious money on it.

Same here, sold my BP shares to pile in as soon as they sipped below 180p. PI’s have been well and truly rinsed on this share, easy to spook newby investors and the II’s have cleaned up before normality returns.

@BIg Blue Good to see that someone on the BB actually understands the IAG business model. IAG offer full global reach and although the summer market is an extra segment it does not define the success of the airline unlike some of their competitors. Do you think that people are going to hold back until next summer? UAE, USA, Asia, Canada, South America and the rest of the world are going to be on the shopping list this Autumn/Winter. IAG have the metal and consumers have the cash. Unlike some subscribers on this BB, I don’t define a 2.5% drop as catastrophic, even my Nex shares dropped more than than that today. Get a grip and if you think it is going to go further South, start shorting. PS: The late summer start is already baked in.

Stop flapping. All that is needed with this share is patience, I didn’t expect it to rise with yesterday’s news but I don’t expect it to go down either. If you can afford to leave you cash in IAG, leave it, the SP will come good and I can actually see this bagging in 18 months. The demand is there and the market knows that which is why it won’t drop any more. The timer is on but it needs another 4 -6 weeks. I can understand your frustrations if you are looking for a better entry price- but it ain’t coming.

@Fugazi: Take it from an old pro, this share is going to shine. In the last week less than 1 in 10 of all Covid patients in hospital have been double jabbed and 75% of all new cases are adults aged below 30. The link is broken and we are going back to normal within a couple of weeks. If this share is not 250p by the 1st of September, I will eat my slippers. Don’t be a fool, get on board.

Just have to work an extra 5 years. I am still holding a bit of Nex, GOG and BP, but I have to admit this is frustrating. At this price I was tempted to sell my BP and buy more Nex, but I am in Nex at 20% of my portfolio and can’t see this trumping BP just yet. Nice to see you back on the scene and I did take your advice to buy Nex at 116p which I am grateful. Good luck pal.

David, don’t worry too much about the number of positive cases, it is a sign that the vaccines are working in relation to Covid deaths. That figure is from over one million tests. The reason why things will continue to open up is that Covid will be treated like flu, the majority of people who catch it won’t die from it and in a couple of weeks these figures will start declining. Remember that the daily average death rate in the UK for the years 2017-2019 was 1692 people a day. It is time to put the sledgehammer down and reach for the Nutcracker.

Do you remember those heady days of last June when the share doubled without Metal in the sky? Now, Covid deaths dwindling, variants conquered and world is opening up my friends, this will pop. The World is ready to fly.

@Goots: This is the best value share in the FTSE and as such carries an amount of risk, if the worst is behind us and no nasty variants bite our a-rse, this share will be knocking 300p next summer. Kicking myself, that I didn’t sell my BP to buy more IAG at 4:25 yesterday but IAG over 50% of my portfolio atm, last year it was 100% at times, I must be losing my edge.

@Shpunjen. If this drops to 188p, I will be selling my BP shares (Nice rise today) and buying more IAG, I feel a nice positive glow from this Press C. The AZ vaccine is 85% effective ageing the Delta variant, what a result. You are correct and a few more weeks it will be rock and roll. On another note, I just flew back from Portugal and after a gap of 15 months, I had forgotten what a great product BA is, they sure know how to run an airline.

Typing this from the Algarve and having went through all the Covid test malarchy, only the motivated will venture foreign travel as things stand. The BA flight out was about 40% full last Sunday and only 9 Club travellers turned up for 24 seats, my BA flight has been cancelled on the way back so had to rebook. I believe there is only me flight out a day from the Algarve. It is obvious that the current sitUation is down to keeping Britons at home to holiday in the UK, the Delta variant is having little effect and one day, which is not too far away, the population will realise we are being taken for mugs.

I wouldn’t want to be out of this at the moment, the EU digital Covid certificate goes live from the 1st of July for all EU countries and remember that we still do a bit of business in Madrid and Ireland. When the uptick comes, it will be quick.

Hi Portland, That said my outbound Covid test is at a Lab to eliminate a false reading but I used Randox for the other tests using the BA code. I was thinking of changing the flights but everything is now booked around my times. Thanks for the heads up.
