Testing is going to be important after lockdown restrictions ease. I'm sure social distancing will take longer to ease, but there will be a requirement for the economy to not stagnate longer than needs be. So testing regularly to limit spread and reemergence. I suggest we will see mobile test centres at supermarkets which requires portable solutions like Genedrive... Have your test and go and shop, pick up your results 40 minutes later. Repeat regularly.

Someone with some knowledge placing a long position on share price going up from 9p, it was a no-brainer spreadex.... I don’t know what their timing limits are but it may be that it’s time to call in the trade and invest ‘normally’. If they bought in at 9p they’ve made a tidy profit. If you now believe it will continue to rise why pay a premium to place your investment via spreadex. I may be totally wrong!

Disagree, it’s an off book trade meaning it was a negotiated trade, more likely the price was dropped to trade such a large trade against a rising share price. A single buyer bought 1m block of shares. That’s a massive single trade.

65p paid for 1m shares, very nice consolidation at this price point. A lot of off-book trades

Agree Start, we won't see an RNS for a little while yet, when we do it will be significant. Genedrive have been good in recent times not to overplay their position, to the point where they have underplayed it somewhat in my opinion. Genedrive is a true POC device, unlike anything else that requires some lab facilities - Genedrive requires none. It is now being used in the NHS for antibiotic induced hearing loss in infants, and by the US DOD who have just ordered 500 more Genedrive's and associated tests. HCV has taken longer to pick up commercially but this in large part has been a regulatory issue. Their partner for that test is Sysmex, a large international distribution potential. Three tests are now 'on-market' with COVID-19 to follow. For all us LTHs this is really great to see our investment come good.

think you'll find GDRs multimillion pound partner is the same, check the older company reports stating GE Healthcare makes the Genedrive cartridges.... AVCT have yet to ever deliver a commercial diagnostic product as far as I can see, there's simply nothing out there, no clinical papers. Simply having a need and having a larger partner doesn't mean the technology is workable and this is their biggest risk. GDR is already commercial and has been proven with commercially viable tests.

I think the £ will go this week. That still only gives the business a market cap of £35m. If you look at the current tests that have just come on market in the last few months (this is without COVID) and the £3m+ contract with the DOD for 500 units and assays (look at company results) the valuation is still way too low. What is this re-rated valuation? I would say a £70m MC or £2 is realistic, all opinion.

As a long term holder I think the value now is about right given the current range of tests and products without COVID. The AIHL test is worth about £3m PA in sales on its own and has just come on market, HCV, TB and DOD all add additional multiples to sales. COVID has just woken up the trading but the value is in no doubt imo.

with that £300k+ paid at the ask will this jump further today. The current share price does deserve a re-rate as the former Chairman has stated - this is now simply valued at the pre-covid brokers target!

What an interesting development. From what I see Mr Evans was trying to highlight the fact that Genedrive is available as a POC platform developed in the UK and ready to deploy. Nice of someone with some knowledge of the platform to be vocal about the business in a way probably the board can't. A really massive endorsement of Genedrive's position.

looking through only annual reports it looks like GE Healthcare was the supplier of scaled up assays

I|f we are now with the same supplier it makes sense that the demand is there, I suspect they also manufacture a lot of the raw materials in the test in-house too. Happy days!

In these days of covid-valuation what's the view on short term share price? I think at £1 per share or £35m market cap seems a reasonable first position. I've been here a long time and in the early days of Genedrive the market cap got to about £70m, that would be a £2 share price. The Company now has a validated platform and sales both with the DOD and now into the NHS so positionally it is in a much better place. Assuming sales increasing now we can see a pathway to further tests and deployment... for all the long term holders out there who believed in the product I hope we now get to see this come good
