Hi Olderandwiser, in the old normal yes, but in the new normal I think the larger numbers of tests means the pricing will come done significantly. The majority of the test price will be in that reagent lyobead from Cytiva, since the same bead can be packaged in either 96 or single sample cartridge I suspect (I don't know) that the volumes of tests will force Genedrive to lower the pricing. I remember from their TB tests they were targeting around £10 or I think $10

Genedrive stated in their RNS yesterday a profit of 60% so at £8 that's about £3 for the Genedrive test. The more expensive tests from AVCT will be higher. I also understand the Genedrive test is cheaper than NVCTs, anyone have figures for that test to confirm?

if people hadn't sold the share price wouldn't have dropped. the choice to sell is a personal one, personally I didn't see why a placing arranged days before to push £8m into the business should cause me to sell my shares, particularly later reading the content below the placing document which showed the up coming value we have here. I am a LTH

@dvsfm, I don't understand, 500 shares at 80p is £400 plus say £60 is £460, worth at todays price of around £2 is £1,000 so what's not worth it?

@Kaeren, welcome. I agree with a lot of what you say, many people assumed the price would fall and it became self fulfilling, as you say there was a reason the share price was £3. The corrected price was 25% off that price, and that's were the price ended yesterday. This should climb back up over the coming days as more news comes in.

The price was struck 10 days ago, you don't ever agree to defer the price, it is a good deal for the investors, they are giving the company £8m ffs

consolidation at the brokers target of £1.98 is no coincidence.... this will creep back up in to the mid £2's and then into the £3's on CE and after the new shares are released. This is a £100m+ turnover business shortly...

@fran, the emergency FDA process is much quicker than standard 510k or PMA, CE-IVD will be with us shortly and FDA soon after.... separate announcements for separate £100m+ sales markets

very few companies in this space get to have products that receive WHO pre-endorsement, what that means is that the WHO have tested the product and confirmed the performance meets their set criteria. It was actually a massive piece of news for the Company and puts them in the 'big league' in terms of approvals for their HCV test. That alone justified the brokers target price. Layer on C19 which has the potential of £100m+ sales in the coming 12 months and will be around for a few years, then we are going to move up from here...

@AP, they could do a 10:1 share issue to put more shares into the market, that could trigger you £1.80 ;-D

AP that was the correction yesterday, its 25% so we finished 25% off the high go £3, down to £1.50 and then back up to £2.22 about 25% off the high, all factored in now in my opinion

Where to today? Although yesterday saw an over reaction to the placing, those that read the RNS saw new detail that underpins the value in this company and the revenues that are coming in the short term with the C19 tests, but also long term with HCV, DOD, hearing loss and TB. All big ticket items. The Company is now fully funded so the only direction for the share price in my opinion is upwards. I think today we will finish up to 25% up again, so I reckon £2.27...

Well almost, at the low I said it would finish 25% down at £2.25, almost bang on. Good springboard to continue rising as news comes in around commercialisation.

genedrive was contracted by the United States Department of Defense (DoD) to develop Genedrive® as a portable bio-warfare testing system. The development contract was worth approximately $10.0 million to date and has included approximately 185 Genedrive unit sales since 2014. The contract has now moved on to a conventional commercial phase and, as announced on 25 March, the Company has now received confirmation that a long-term supply contract with the DoD will be agreed that will enable ordering from Autumn 2020 onwards. The first internal DoD customer to procure under this contact has indicated an intention to order circa 500 Genedrive® units over the first 3 years.
