@kinggitega really well spotted. At 10k tests per hour and taking the lower values that's around £50k profit every hour, or £1.2m profit every day- £400m profit this year. Nice spot!

are now buying shares from those who panicked. onwards and upwards. I guess those that thought 80p was too cheep and sold can live with the knowledge that they were correct, 80p was too cheap. It doesn't mean the current price is wrong for where we are.

most of the drop are inexperienced traders thinking that the price will fall, experienced traders also may sell knowing they can buy back cheaply. However, these are not normal times and the company is fundamentally undervalued and the timing of the raise made the price look worse than it was. This will close up! Good solid fundamentals and the 80p raise was a bargain...

@CAR70 the number of new shares being issued would equate to 25%, so I suspect anything below £2.25 is a good place to be. Wait and see but after the sellers are out I think you'll see this bounce back to those levels and then continue to rise on news again. IMO

A 25% fall from top puts it at £2.25 for equivalence, that's my prediction for close today once the selling has settled

@thepunter1, I did, £7m raised at a 10% discount to the prevailing share price at the time of discussion. you can't factor in a massive rise in share price based on the new normal. There are no changes to the fundamentals of the business - I would expect a 25% drop in share price to reflect the new shares in issue and a continued rise as it was before...

@Joe666 I completely agree, traders not understanding how things work and selling our of heard mentality, or to buy in lower, this is fun to watch! Best advise is if you believe in the fundamentals, simply hold and never trade in the first hours of an RNS!

this will end back above £2, I think a lot of people will regret selling. Why, because the fundamentals remain identical, good solid progress and good technical announcements, WHO endorsement. £7m puts the company in a solid position and those in the know and who understand these things know the basis of the 80p raise, it looks discounted because of the rapid rise over the days the fundraise was being done. £2+ end of today for sure and more news coming

... wow, this can only go back up and those who are selling will loose twice. The fund raise was done when the shareprice was 88p, you can't raise £7m on a rising share price without a discount. Those investing £7m did so on the basis that 80p was a bargain.

This placing will have been under discussion for a while, 80p as an average over the last few weeks is not a bad position and it capitalises the business making it strongly supported.

There have been many attempts to invent a replacement for PCR, PCR remains and will remain one of the most important diagnostic tools for a long time. Its cheap, fast, accurate and incredibly sensitive and can be scaled or run out and about with Genedrive... nothing has all of these attributes and nothing has come close to replacing it.

We could see this nudge £3 today. The announcement yesterday evening is a significant milestone because the commercialisation of the HCV test via Sysmex was waiting for this pre-qualification. Now that global endorsement has been received expect to see sales ramp up. That’s three tests now on-market without taking C19 into account, the current mc is supported by those alone.

@olderandwiser that was my understanding too, the Roche announcement was for a lab based antibody test... cytiva most likely partner imo, and Sysmex for genedrive poc, either for trade sale :-D
