Here is a great example of what looked to be a good alternative to qPCR simply not being up to the required level of sensitivity. They also lied about the performance in terms of time taken saying it was a 10-minute test when reality is it's 20 minutes to confirm a negative. But if positives are incorrectly being given negative status it's not a good test from Abbott. We knew that because the same version of the test for influenza also wasn't sensitive. But that didn't stop them flogging a dead horse.

This is where Genedrive's POC will add real value detecting down to 10 virus particles - it should smash the competition in terms of sensitivity... hoping next week with start with the CE-IVD certification announcement and a rising share price...

Guys I'm not de-ramping, I've been here a long time and lost a lot when I bought before the FDA debacle. It's an honest question, I thought from reading the RNSs over the past 12 months that the deal with Hercules was that it gave them the intellectual property and left the company to do a cash shell deal... nobody has said that's incorrect yet so I assume I'm correct. Great to see people being able to trade this and make a profit, I wrote my investment off here a long time ago, averaged down to about 20p from the highs when it was around 5p a share and decided just to hold fire. If I am wrong there is nothing more I would love than to see this antibiotic get to market and recover my position!!

Does the company still own iclaprim or is that not now Hercules' as part of the investment / deferral they made?

Hi Olderandwiser, you would hope so, at least in terms of positioning it for studies. I think the US DOD contract will help in the US along with Cytiva which probably also manufacturers the Genedrive DOD test, but also the use of the antibiotic hearing loss test being used in the NHS. WOH pre-qualification means there's a successful and trusted relationship there, the pre-qualification means there would have been WHO led studies for the HCV test so a relationship has been formed and a trust in delivery by Genedrive that meets the clinical requirements. It all adds credibility.

Not long but fortunately Cytiva is a manufacturer of many of the components themselves, particularly the enzymes. That’s an important aspect to add into the information equation.

As I understand it calculus are selling on behalf of investec who are selling on behalf of a private investor, anyone else understand this the same way? ie it's really a retail sell

Radley, I appreciate your frustration. Believe me I have been in many shares with rampers and derampers vying to keep the share where it suits them, but they're different sides of the same coin and my experience is that whilst they think they make a difference the reality is very different because most holders who support a particular business do their own research. It becomes a pointless shouting match over the garden fence.

I've managed to average down over the years, I support the business because it has a neat product and I understand the clinical diagnostics space, and I believe the technology has a massive part to play in healthcare and even more so now.

The MC is almost where it was when I originally invested at £2.85, and during that time the Company has de-risked and ended up with so much more potential. COVID will accelerate the opportunity Genedrive has reach that potential.

Let's please all just stick to discussing the opportunity and understand that in business you sometimes have to sell at a discount to get your hands on cash. I thank all the II's and PI's for investing in Genedrive, it will help us all achieve the sales of our platform and tests.

a lot of late trades from 11th and 12th now showing, very sizeable and shows someone is mopping these up, as mentioned by others the price is holding despite these so we're in a strong position

where to today? On balance we seem to be in a holding pattern now until the next news. Why? Because on balance there are an equal number of buyers for the shares being sold, but this pool of shares being sold is dwindling which 'should' be good news I think.

I don't think people are selling down their purchases at 80p since most LTHs bought at less than 80p in the first place.

Strong fundamentals, a large market for the product that isn't going away any time soon, a route to POC testing, and a bag full of new tests recently come to market.

a long time since I posted on UJO, I bought in at the end of 2018 and have held through the highs and then lows and the 'shenanigans' and the decimated oil price, but still the projects progress and the break evens look commercially compelling and the broker note targets 0.7p, a 5x multiple from current share price, so I continue to hold since it seems to just be a waiting game.

I originally invested because it made sense for the country to have security of supply in the long term. World events make that even more important imo.

People who believe there is a big sell off coming are missing an important point, both IIs and PIs look to be exclusively current holders of stock. Therefore knowing their allocation, if they believed the price was going to drop, they’d be selling their existing stock at least to the number they’ve been allocated. I don’t believe this is happening, at least not by the II who would have to issue TR1s. So, trading is purely retail trading in my opinion and some pretty large trades going through showing if there is a sell there is someone there promptly picking it up. This to shall pass and we will go on upwards again.
