RE: Some decent buys31 Oct 2018 09:01
Jessell - I'm firmly in your camp, as far as this debate goes. I've critisised CB all the way down, averaging down as I go, and I absolutely agree with your anger and where it stems from.
However, putting my losses aside, I have to also recognise the benefits of the latest agreement, now, and when the new contractors join us.
As I said to JDAU yesterday, I don't think the agreement deserves any celebration yet, at least not from me, as I'm still down on my average.
Many that bought recently clearly have plenty to celebrate about, but as I said, my celebrations will be postponed until my average is closer, but at the same time, I'm also holding back on my critisism of Colins past actions as I think it's unfair to critisise him when he actually does pull something decent off.
Put it this way, the day before yesterday, I would have prefered to see the stored gold in cash, in the bank. This was for lack of trust, the risk of theft, falling SP etc. Actually, the outcome was far better than I could have possibly imagined, as by storing it instead of selling, we retained a further 10% of the unsold golds value than we would have otherwise received. Not to mention the small, but additional value to the continued alluvial operational returns.
Further, we have the potential for more alluvial contractors and HR operations where the agreement will further demonstrate the value of the deal. As angry as I am still with how things have developed, this is actually a good agreement and hope more like this can continue.
