Hi Mac, the bod would have been as nervous as anyone about sanctions.

Yes they are not impacted this time and thank goodness for that and I don’t see anymore sanctions coming just yet, but all it will take is to say no purchasing of minerals from Russia and then they will be challenged.

I just hope that as they are not impacted this will hopefully hurry them up with their strategy plans.

I’d be lying if I said I didn’t cash a small % out yesterday. I was worried about the impact of sanctions, we all were.

I’ve put the money I took out back in, yes my overall holding is slightly lower than before but hey that’s life.
On a slightly more positive note I topped up on other stocks in my PF….always keep some powder dry.

I do hope the bod’s strategy is executed fully soon but more importantly I hope this situation ends asap.

For me clearly the bod never dreamt of this happening. Sure this risk would have been on their risk profile but as a low one. But low and behold putin acted like a d I c k.

Mac - I respect you but all bets are off when it’s a war. Russia has just put themselves economically back in the dark ages. Yes China may buy but no one will touch Russian assets again even if they trade on the London Stock exchange. Europe will have to pivot from dependency on oil and gas and for what eua has they will have to move away from them, except for Russia or China and their allies now one imo will want to touch them.

I don’t think an RNS just yet will help. I suspect they will have to wait to see the extra sanctions that will be implemented to see if it impacts eua.

Russian consortium who was going to buy and they required to be financed from one of the sanctions bank then clearly it would have a impact unless they have the cash in there pocket.

This is a board about eua and I can see why Russian political discussion would be on this board considering where the assets are.
