Pharmhall, I think the drop is based on lower defence sales following Trump/Putin chat. I actually think the market is overlooking the pressure Trump is applying to nato to increase defence spending to 5% . That will never happen but the likes of Italy and Spain don't even manage2%. Therefore imv we could get some chunky orders from that.

@Xhita - I think you need to think very carefully how you can protect your 1m euro against inflation. In just 10 years it could be down to the equivalent of 100k as governments are trying to erode their debts with inflation. If you can find an investment such as commercial property of inflation linked US bonds that can give you a Real 2 or 3% ok - if not imv 1million may not be enough. Good luck what ever you do.

The only two credible explanations are; disappointment with their divi and the fact they met guidance rather than exceeded. Personally, I think that interest rates look set to be higher for longer and that means all shares need to offer a better return than gilts by some margin - hence decent results e.g lgen the other day are not welcomed with the euphoria investors would like . This means LLoy has a higher bar just now imv.

I actually think the staff at the council deserve a decent pension as does everyone in the UK - the £142m quoted should come from central government who should not be sending billions and billions overseas -like the £14bn for climate change. In reality , I think this government are happy for the country to deteriorate as they really dont like us - it is all about ideaology and Starmer will retire soon so does not want re election.
