I am guessing the Baroi forestry permit is being withheld until Asiamet prove they can develop a mine. Bring on BKM. Not long now. Will hazard a guess at BFS by end of month, partner some time in May.

Given most analysts are bullish on copper, not sure I follow the commodities recession theory.

The SP has risen time and again on promises. But not any more. Trust has been lost and will only be restored if a contract is delivered. Can only sit and wait. Or sell.

Good to see TAP reiterate the buyback starting immediately after the merger. Unless the BOD go full Theresa May on us, this looks like a cast iron promise. I’m counting down the days - reckon this will be a strong catalyst.

Another encouraging factor in this merger for me is the trading volumes on TAP compared with RTHM. RTHM has had pitiful volumes for a couple of years, which has allowed its price to drift, and more worryingly be controlled by algobots. Taptica on the other hand has had much better volumes, reflecting significantly more investor/trader interest, and making it less vulnerable to manipulation.

The email I got from Tom Cooper last month stated ‘much progress has been made’ re. Iranian deal. It would be fraudulent to write that if the process was dead. It does however leave the process open ended. Could be days, could be weeks, could be months, could be years. Frustrating, but given that this airport opening seems fairly immminent (WSG’s favourite adjective!), worth holding til then imo...

How many shares do you hold in RTHM and TAP Stt? Do you hold any?

My main concern here has been that Tosca and Lombard were either trying to take this private, or even have it sold cheap to SFOR. With Schroders and Norge increasing their stakes in TAP/RTHM, I think this looks increasingly unlikely. Tosca will be heavily diluted by the merger to c. 15% of the combined company. Also, if the management were in on such a plot, I don’t see why they would perform a 15mil buyback post merger. Feeling relatively reassured.

So businesses which are supposedly covered by sanctions are moving in to Iran, whilst businesses which are not (us), still hold off. Please explain.

When I emailed them a month ago (out of despair) I got this reply. It would be pretty cheeky to write this if it was dead.

‘Since then, both sides have been working to find solutions to be able to proceed. It would be inappropriate to give a commentary on the inner workings of that process, however suffice to say, lots of progress has been made. As soon as we are able to update the market, we will be doing so via the Regulatory News Service.’

I don’t think RTHM really has an independent share price now. It is 28/33rds of TAP’s share price.
