Hi AD, From memory I belive Craig Brown holds about 3m shares and has an option price of 1.75 for just over 4m shares (Feb 17..ish). So he has a potential holding of 7m.
There may have been other options that I have missed.

Those two big orders were the reason for the lunchtime treeshake.
Quite a number of people taking sizable positions over the last week or two.

Not quite blue today, but a nice little 20% increase on the week.

Rodders, Not sure if we will get another offer on Ballieston….if not sounds like we are happy to go it alone.
No firm offers yet received on Creswick , but 4 parties interested and in the interview Craig was confident of a deal this year.
Could be tomorrow...could be Dec 31st ...no hints have been given on how far along DD/talks are

Morning Boffin, I agree that it would have been nice to see more holes in the ground in the last year.
I think that the focus has been on streamlining the business and get rid of the PJ legacy millstone that was Argentina as well as the 'too expensive to proceed' other licenses sale to Fosterville
Ballieston drilling was probably on hold pending the deal proposal , and I am happy to see that ECR stood their ground on that and didn't take the deal if it was not right. In the interview Craig stated that a drilling programme would be forthcoming covering a few different areas within the Balieston license and that we should see some ground exploration results updates in the next month.
Good to see we will forge on with this ourselves and with £1.25m in he bank and 42% rebate we could put in a decent programme....and I would hope to see major progress proving/understanding the resource on this in the next year

Creswick is THE company changer for ECR and it was good to see that we may now have a couple more interested parties (I'm sure it was 2 at the last set of interviews). Newmont has been confirmed as one of those parties so we are not talking small AIM interest. The Alteration study by Dr Arne in the first quarter may have been requested by one of these parties as part of the DD process. A large drilling programme was out of the question as the dilution @0.6 SP at the time to fund it would have been very painful.
Craig sounds exceptionally optimistic that a Creswick deal will be done this year and that is THE biggest impact on the SP that can occur this year (unless they trip over a nugget the size of a car as they are doing the ground exploration :-) and I would hope that's where 75% of the companies efforts are focused over the coming months.

Let's hope so.
Creswick is the company maker here and knowing we have 4 interested parties, one being Newmont and the fact that Craig is not (as he shown with Ballieston) going to give them away fills me with confidence.
As it's 100% owned, cash in the bank and potentially $6BN of gold in the ground I'm not even contemplating selling a share until that deal is done.

Major, Major Gamechanger !!!

Depends when they exercise them and if they immediately trade or hold….if they do it past Creswick deal then the volume here will be so high that they won't be noticed , and they have potentially already been priced in .

Interesting interview:

We now have FOUR parties interested in Creswick (up from the previous 2) and in the interview he named Newmont as the third largest mining company in the world (in a previous interview he named the 3rd largest as one of the interested parties).

£1.25m cash in the bank

Drilling programmes being put together for various Ballieston areas - and we get a 42% rebate from GoS on exploration so have funding to progress.

It is winter in Oz (not good for drilling) so ground exploration being undertaken with news flow next month.

Looks like we are going to fund Ballieston ourselves although their is still an interested party.

Approached by 4 brokers wanting to put money in to the company , but stuck with current broker for recent fund raise (there is appetite to invest in ECR)


So to summarise : funding in place, gold rising, loads of interest to invest in the company, drilling programme for Ballieston and FOUR interested parties in 'huge' Creswick with deal expected by the end of the year

More of a story of why it rose.
Looks like news that an RNS had been lodged and this caused the SP to rise to 2.3in anticipation.
Unfortunately it was just a warrant being exercised so the herd left and the SP came back down.

Still 111% up on the day though so progressing nicely and it shows how quickly this will move when a JV/deal RNS arrives.

Even better is that Dill was correct and this did get to 2p ….just couldn't quite hold it......but there is always tomorrow.

I look forward to seeing the interview by Craig Brown ,when they release it, to see if there are any more updates (did they get an offer, are they negotiating, when's the next drill programme, id Creswick DD progressing , etc. )

Investors bought in to ECR (as I did) pre August 2016 when PJ was in charge and he loved an earn in , speculative drilling and politically unstable countries. Itagon was a boom and bust project and effectively got shut down by the politicians adversity to foreign owned miners.
Since Craig Brown took over in 2016 (SP was about 1p at the time) this company has been transformed in to an Australian focused company with some of the most exciting licences and value has been added to the share price with more to come as transformational deals are done.

LTH complaining about huge averages are almost irrelevant as it's a completely different company and you had the opportunity (as I took) to buy in large in to this new company and average down...I am now in profit.
You chose not to do this and that was your mistake. I know this sounds harsh, and I don't wish anyone to have any losses, but no-one cares that you made a terrible choice (as I admittedly did) and invested in a badly run company a long time ago , we only care about the new ECR with great prospects and in which the current board has doubled shareholder value since they started.

Today did show that once an RNS is posted (and news of one posted leaks out) that this will move fast...and that's before any positive content impact.

$1886....all time high not far away!

There is actually a 20% rise for the latest update....it's just that there was a 25% uplift in anticipation , and there were no surprises in the RNS to push it upwards further.
Still a good update and further progress made.....just not the BOOM 20p some were touting today.
The 20p day may come this year.

I too invested in the 'old' ECR,
Thankfully the old BOD is no more and this is literally a new company basing it's licenses and focus in the Victorian gold hotspot rather than the risky Philipines & Argentina with their political baggage.
I have invested very heavily in the new ECR as I have a lot of confidence in the consolidation of efforts to Creswick & Balieston and the new BOD are a far cry from the old company and this is only the beginning of the journey....although I sure ECR will make use of the $a35m tax credit legacy from the old BOD.
