Just a technical question. I thought MMs were obliged to give a quote for up to normal market size which for solg is 30,000. The price may not be to your liking but at least you get a price. if this not true then what does NMS mean?

It is interesting that after referring to NM you go on to say " the board regards these purchases as value enhancing." f posts on this board give the impression that NM is in charge. who is in charge NM or the Board.

I don't understand why he thinks BHP are painted in corner. If there is a bid by someone else then BHP are free to go in with an aggressive bid. So BHP are only cornered as far as the first move is concerned. I don't think I have got this wrong have I ?

ColnelDrake , your post has worried me. If BHP , financiers etc have similar thoughts as you then why would they support NM and not wait till the government goes to them directly. So NM is toast whatever especially as you say Chinese are on hold. I sincerely hope I have misread your post.

The price is falling today like a stone- down over 4% as I write. Surely there must be a reason for a share to fall this much on a day when other shares seem to be rising. Is there something behind the scene that MMs know and we don’t? Any views from the expert.
My position – Heavily invested, sitting on a large loss, would love more than anything else for move up to 30p. so I can reduce my exposure without a loss .

Scrat, It all seems strange that you cant buy £1k. As I posted on Thursday, tried to buy NMS (30,000) and got rejected both times. Yet on Friday 30,000 buy went through at a lower displayed price!

Forget Loyalty. NM is a business man. IMHO he will do what suits him and be loyal to whoever he needs to. My hope is that in the end he will make us some money but how much will depend on what suits NM.
On a separate issue I was unable to buy normal market size at displayed price earlier this morning. I am not sure if that means anything but thought I would mention it.

RICH3R I share your views about CEOs and PIs. IMHO Take out price is also influenced by any future roll offered to the executive team. Hope that we do get your wish for £1 .

I read this board regularly due to what I have already said about my holding. I am not as experienced as you so very reluctant to post but occasionally pluck courage to write. Bigcashews must have said something that prompted me to reply . Please do not try and read too much into this coincidence. I have no agenda other then to see solgold succeed .
