Sorry Coloneldrake but it has been widely reported on this board that the Franco deal is awaiting Due Diligence which has been delayed due to the pandemic. Are you implying that this is not true?

Bears and Bulls, I was puzzled like you but it was pointed out on this board that share price of 10% of market value is quite normal at this stage As to their intentions - They will either pull it off or pull us down. I cant see any other way . Many folks on this board are quite excited about a bid. Hopefully they are right.

Age is not on my side so taking to production is not good news for me. But then the bright side is that there will be more years of enjoying the chats on this board and may be opportunity to realise some of the gains as the price starts to react.

Saveshare 7 there might be ways of mitigating the impact by reliefs as he is full time working director and may be of retiring age. Also Barrick could find some way of compensating him . imho nm's tax is not the problem. problem is NM who appears to be determined to take this to production

£3-£4 todays valuation yet the shares are trading at 26p. that is over 90% discount to value. crazy isn't it and there is talk on this board (myself included ) of accepting 80p !! I hope there is nothing fundamental that none of us has spotted and that this is only a classic case of the eyes of the beholder cant see the beauty.

Quady , what you say makes sense but a couple of observations though

So those of us ( that includes me) who may not be around till production day should pray that we don't obtain CGP!
you seem to be saying ( happy to be corrected if I misunderstood) that once we get CGP, bidder would have to pay full value up to the point that production starts to roll. Surely any pre-production value would, amongst other things, have to allow for production costs so the full value is not likely to be between £3 to 4. I will hide behind the excuse that BHP might be listening (lol) and not guess what that value might be.

Cookiecrew, as you say funding news would hopefully give this a big push but imho it would not be the end game. I would therefore prefer the news of a bid for the whole of solgold to end the game .

If JV was being considered why the seemingly bad blood between us and them . I assume JV arrangements cant be hostile and need to be mutually agreed. As mutually agreed arrangement it does not have to wait till October. Also if JV was being discussed Solgold would not have gone Nevada route. what do you Earthling and others think of my reasoning ?

TigerByTheTrail, what you say makes perfect sense if NC needed to unwind their investment in Solgold. Otherwise would they not be better off to wait ? Any successful bid is likely to be lower now than once the current crisis improves and also Solgold has added more value .
