Well, my first guess (until he linked to that image) was 800-1200m down. Most likely in the SW. There has to be something coming in the SW. They keep drilling, right? And have told us nothing.

Which, again, since I'm going full crystal ball mode here, means they got results, didn't believe it, sent it back with more samples for confirmation. GH knew about it and that they should get confirmation soon, so he said more news coming. They expect to get that back next week, and of course, if confirmed, will have to then drop another RNS.

If all that is true, though, how was he allowed to trade his shares this week? I guess maybe since it's good news and he was selling that's permitted? Could be, I guess.

So they've found gold 800-1200m out? Yeah, that would be an RNS dropping if true, though they'd have to be very sure. Might be rechecking samples.

I don't think you know what "priced-in" means.

There is news that is expected, and news that isn't. The news that isn't expected is not "priced-in". The news that is expected, people have been making investment decisions on it before it's announced because they expect it.

"Mostly priced-in" means that many people already expected it, if not everyone, and so the price won't move that much when the news is announced.

Having France/Spain/Greece/Portugal open to British holiday makers is worth a LOT of money to IAG, but the share price is up less than 1% today. Why? Because it was mostly already priced-in -- most people expected it to come soon.

If we hear next week that we'll have an air bridge to the US at the start of July, that will send the price up a lot more. Why? Because while people expect it sometime, they probably don't expect it that soon. If we hear it starts in August, the market will probably shrug and say, "Pretty much what we expected." Price will move up some, but not that much. If we hear, no US flying until 2021, the price will plummet because that would not be expected by most.

Everyone knew it was coming before long. If some market participants thought it would take longer it might give a little bit of a boost but I suspect most people have been investing with the assumption that these would be starting soon.

Index Selection Day is last day of April. On that day, Great Bear price was 9.69 CAD, about 2/3 of what it is now. Mkt Cap would have been about $470M CAD, or about £270M GBP.

I don't know for sure but looks like maybe they just missed the cut, and if the rebalancing had come a month later they might have been over the line. The Sprott ETF does rebalance in May, but looks like Great Bear missed the Solactive, and Sprott bases off of Solactive.

Love your enthusiasm and agree with most of it but think you are wrong about Sprott.

Inclusion in the Solactive Jr index is not based on "knowing something" about Hav. For gold explorers, it is based on price momentum. The rules are here:

Sections 2 and 4 tell the story. To be included, you have to be in the Global Gold Explorers & Developers Total Return Index. You get in that based on having enough market capitalization. If you are in that and your mkt cap isn't too high, you get in the Jr index, and are ranked within the Jr Index by price momentum.

In May, our Market Cap was high enough to make the index, and our price momentum meant we were ranked highly. So, having a high rank in the index meant a high percentage. So when the Sprott Jr ETF bought, they bought simply because we were in the index with a high ranking. That happened because our market cap at the rebalancing in May was high enough to get us in the index (it hadn't been before) and because our price momentum (the upward trend in SP in recent months) was phenomenal. So Sprott, to track the index, had to buy.

If Sprott thought Hav was full of fool's gold they'd still have bought, because we're in the index. All the other stuff you say is sound, but Sprott's ETF is driven by the fact that the SP is up. That's it.

We can't force NCM (or anyone else) to make an offer which matches the value of our stake.

So if we want to maximise shareholder value we have to be prepared to not sell our stake in Hav. Like any other negotiation in life, the better you are able to walk away from the negotiations without a deal, the better deal you are likely to get. If NCM thinks we HAVE to sell, they'll offer a low price.

You have to be prepared to walk away.

You need to research the companies you are considering trading and understand them. Then you will know which factors actually matter for the company you are looking at. Your request isn't getting much respect here because anyone who has done any minimal research into the company would not have to ask the question.

Hi, Tom. BottleRocket has been on this board quite a bit longer than I have, we've interacted quite a bit, and shared several jokes already. He's more "inside" on this board than I am, I'd say.

He did some really interesting research on CGT in Oz which we've already discussed at some length today. Not sure I'm persuaded of all his conclusions but he found some really interesting stuff about the difference between immediate transfer and deferred transfer on a farm in agreement, which is pretty relevant to our JV with NCM (which appears to have both). He's also already been declared my best friend on this board, and if he wants to slap me down I'm sure he can handle it beautifully.

I don't mind you calling me down if my sense of humour crosses lines but I think probably this isn't one of those cases. If BR tells me it was then I'll stand corrected and apologise.

Good research here by you. The text from #13 is fairly standard tax language world-wide, it just means for tax purposes you have to use a real price and not play silly games to avoid tax.

The text from #15 basically means, "If you tell us it's of nil value for tax purposes but you are planning to mine it we're coming after you. Your behaviour had better be consistent with what you are telling us. Otherwise, we'll be coming down on you like a beamer from Brett Lee."

I have not seen our farm in agreement with NCM and am just going by what I've picked up here and there, but I am assuming, re: the Grant Thornton article you found, that we have a hybrid between an "immediate transfer farm-out arrangement" and a "deferred transfer". Am guessing the rules are complicated, that our accountants are up on it all, and that they'll be minimising tax, but I don't see anything that has huge bearing on the value of the 5% or the remaining 25%, if we sell it. There certainly will be tax on the latter, at least.
