Night Bans and Eric. Yes, the big Green Woodpecker with red bits on it, smashing looking...lost my bird book so I can't check the names properly. Did you know they eat bees? Not very clever is it. Lol.

I had a visit from a greater spotted woodpecker yesterday, that's the green one...the black and red one comes a bit more often.

Good, I'm very glad to hear that, Eric. It bit disappointing the decision will go into next year, early next year we hope...but I'm resolved to wait patiently and travel hopefully, regardless of being called dumb. We can talk about birds and stuff.

Hello Eric. They used to be dinosaurs once upon a time, birds...what will we have evolved into by the time we get the news we 're waiting for? Nice blue finish again in Sweden, if trading has finished, I suppose it has with them being an hour ahead of us.

Or I could look into it's eyes...adders have a split pupil and grass snakes a round one! Lol

I'm pretty sure it was a grass snake, it was too big for an adder (I hope) about three feet long with a black spotted pattern along it's side, I've seen it twice.

And I've got a snake...might have told you that already, it spoke to me it said, I know what you think of me but you're a mere human being. Gosh! So I am.

Troaj...Last summer I was in the garden working and I'd left the front door open, when I came in there was a sparrow hawk sitting at the end of the table...I was a bit surprised and decided to try and catch it, put my welding gloves on first and managed to pick it up, it was pretty exhausted I think. I said now you know what it feels like somebody bigger than you. A few hours later when I came back in, there were feathers all over the pace and bird muck on the walls and I found a thrush hiding behind a couch. The hawk must have pursued the thrush through the front door and got exhausted trying to get back out. I'll never forget holding that bird, it was marvelous.

What a nice place you live in Bannor, on acid soil. We don't have red deer around us any more because they got TB...just fallow deer and montjac and badgers and foxes.

Afty aft Bannor & Eric...You could have a go Bans, don't give up...deer don't like aromatic foliage, rosemary and lavender are lovely and very easy to grow provided it's a sunny spot because they absolutely must have sun. Only downside is that they don't last much longer than 5 or 6 years. So, that's gardening tips for the day, I'm full of advice. But we're going to need something for this last lap to save us from going mad. After all we did expect the decision to come by Christmas and now we've got just a little bit longer to wait. W

Morning Eric....Nice and blueish today in Sweden, not much but OK. So far as the elders is concerned I still think babes and sucklings have an equal claim on being wise...the inspired versus the experienced. Lol.

Eric...A worry? You got it, I've been one of those since I was about five. My dad said you should respect your elders and I said why and he said because they've lived longer than you. Didn't think it was a good answer at the time, but I've changed my mind.

Talking about potting sheds, I was going to have one for my birthday three years ago... but I don't want an ugly shed spoiling my garden do I...and a not too ugly shed costs probably more than my other half bargained for. So, until we can find a shed that suits both requirements., I remain without a potting shed. I mean, who needs a potting shed? I do my potting in the yard, without a shed.

It's an eternal love affair Timty1, beauty and truth...a garden, hope you get one one day, large or small. 🌹

So far as 'luring people' to invest here, I don't care who invests here, the decision will decide that one way or another.
