The news from the Conference yesterday was a bit of a boost for those already holding but the risk factor re the Appeal remains the same ; so no reason to hype it up one day just to cast it down the next is there. The news re the green initiative permitting processes would be excellent for us provided the mine gets the go ahead, if not it doesn't mean anything much at all, except perhaps for Grafintec.

I don't think it's more recently, Bans, I think it was always...and it does say in the legislation that a Company exploring should maintain a good relationship with the (ahem) local people. They were gunning for us right from the beginning and an inadvertent remark by CSP was inflated to mean something it most certainly didn't mean. BEM so far as I can remember and that's twelve years always intended goodwill and cooperation towards all local people, which by a certain faction was repudiated.

The conclusion was (I think) that the Sami don't have a veto but they must be included in the planning stages...but the official document about it isn't published yet.

No he didn't Wots, sensible I think because it's the Court's business and there's nothing he can do about it. We've got plenty reason to whinge, can't disagree with you there but it's impotent and if we don't believe...well, wot? So, I've chosen to believe it's going to be good.

The situation is what it is...the environmental study is progressing and he has to wait for the judgement same as we do, what would you expect him to say other than what he did...nobody likes waiting particularly when you don't know how long you've got to wait. Everything depends on that decision.

So, the news is that they're continuing to analyse the Kallak potential product, nothing wrong with that is there and they can't do anything else with it in the current circumstances.

The Government had to consider how the process had been conducted before it got to them and the circumstances were exceptional because the Bergsstaten had approved the application so far as their offices were concerned and were in disagreement with the County Administration's refusal the second time, having given their consent in the first instance before the ANI for reindeer herding was in existence. And that is why it ended up on the Government's desk. Therefore the conduct between the Bergesstaten and the County Administration Board and BEM was relevant to whether or not the process had been correctly carried out between all concerned parties including the Sami village with whom the Company attempted to engage with but failed; but they did do all that was asked of them in so far as delaying activities to facilitate the reindeer migration. There here was a lot more besides, all nine years of it, including the Norra Karr judgement. That's my take on it...for the sake of argument.
