I'll be honest, one of my biggest issues is with Andrew Chubb's involvement and the £1.5m we saw fit to pay to the third party advisory that employs a significant stakeholder in purchasing entity. Call me old school but the whole thing smacks of manipulation and measures that were taken NOT with holders in mind.

I'm still a fan of Jim, and I like the share (fundamentals continue to be excellent) but the timelines no longer suit me and the "sale" price was extremely poor. I wouldn't even call it a sale, as much as a changing of the guard.

Let's see what Friday brings i guess. If it's not really special, I'm out.

I'll be keeping my cash in cash and moving away from MTL over time depending on which way the wind blows..there are too few trust worthy BOD members for my comfort, and after years of dealing with Condor's flagrant disregard if facts, I can see the same thing transpiring here.

not going to lie - it's bitter sweet seeing the bb wind down after a flop of a deal.

i think in reality- nothing has changed. we've just swapped out one semi-shady bod out for another. jim i was always a fan of..mark came across well enough,.but didn't have the stones to drive it home.

i'll probably hang around here for a while longer. for better or worse cnr has been an emotional investment that i'm well overexposed in, for the simple fact the maths has always continued to be outstanding. i think the mtl holders are smug ****s that have landed a hell of a lifeline - not a fan personally. they're us, just seven years ago, so understandably enthusiastic, but behaving like this isn't the deal of a lifetime for them is plain ignorant.

NPV of the current situation for MTL against the current gold price vs. BFS associated with acquired asset is between 60 and 80 pence a share.

Volume for the MTL shares is locked in at 4.0526 per CNR share owned. This is now fixed

Meaning that we're already effectively pegged to the MTL share price. If MTL rises now we will benefit. We wouldn't just receive fewer shares at date of transaction.

In short, you should clearly be looking at the MTL share price as this'll already be impacting your 4.0526x volume of shares.

The cash is now fixed (again as its a fixed amount paid out for volume of condor shares held).

Your holding on account will literally just convert to MTL [shares with agreed average] + cash + CVRs.

CVRs are entirely non transferable and cannot be moved between accounts/brokers. On crystallisation of any value this will just be realised within that account as cash, at which point you can do what you want with it.

I've written the CVRs off. If something happens in the future, great. But il not holding my breath. There're not contractual obligations to pay these out, and given the nature of the people we're dealing with I just can't see it coming to fruition.

Be careful with this. The structure of the deal (cash consideration) means that you won't benefit from any uplift in MTL to the tune of a third of your current CNR holding (you're effectively cashed out) - it's not a like for like paper transaction.

Smart, really. The nature of my holding means that I can't even buy back in with that third unless i cash out entirely, so have been stitched up there, as well.

LMA strikes me as someone That's been burned on MTL frankly, and he's clutching at CNR as his lifeline to make a profit.

I really do wish he'd f*** off. I don't know why he's seeking validation.

Unfortunately if you get into bed with a ruthless billionaire you're going to be subject to some cuts and bruises along the way, you just hope you're timing's right (and your averagel low enough) to make some scraps in the meantime.

Part of the problem is that ling term holders at CNR have been in a so called "muted period" for the last half decade.

Forgive us for not being enthralled at the possibility we go from one unmoving queue to another.

Deal continues to be diabolical for CNR holders. Excellent for MTL. Congrats will be in odmrder for you lot of it goes through. Those that have been already waiting for the last nearly 10 years are stuck with high averages and their dicks in their hand.

We had huge potential five years ago.
