Only commented that the existing MTL offer was poor and against the interests of LTHs such as myself (everyone else can speak for themselves - i do envy those in the green), and that I'm confident that this is part of a wider strategy to encourage some actual binding offers.

I also mentioned that MTL acquisition effectively renders the sale - for existing holders - a red herring.

All MTL does for us is swap one CEO for another that MAY take us to production, which would simply be an absolute farce.

Yes. Right before they got annoyed that the odder had been made public and that there was another interested party - which is why everyone is waiting to see if MTL are actually in the game, or they're just being used as a tool to flush out a realistic offer from Calibre.

Calibre are clearly the company that have been being referenced for the last 18 months. They've just never had the stones to pull the trigger because they're greedy and Jim wouldn't let them have the project for pennies on the pound.

Your closing paragraph is exactly the issue for all mid to long term holders at Condor. The decision to sell the asset was in place of taking the mine to production ourselves, one that was made two years ago.

If we're handing this "shovel ready" project to the next Joe it absolutely best be on favourable terms.

We could have dine that years ago without the need for MTL.

CNR should be a billion dollar company for whomever takes it to production - irrespective of the asset value, better to regard the NPV in the face of a blowing uo gold price.

The ROI on this project at $150m or even $200m still immense.

MTL offer is absolutely a litmus test to kick things into action.

I suspect the name dropping on Sunday as well as the MTL involvement is what caused Calibre to clap back so punchily (seriously - the language around reengagement was borderline unprofessional) and it's got them put of sorts.

Like I said yesterday - both parties should put up or shut up, now. I'd be massively disappointed with a JV/MTL acquisition for reasons explained (zero progress to our situation 2 years ago, all we've done is bag hold for 2 years whilst JM washes his hands of the project) so DO BETTER, or, Calibre, suggest you pull your pens out and get going.

also pls chill out. this unravelling of the sales process is excellent. the plan hopefully still hasn't changed from.the board - if it's ****ed calibre off i say good on jim..they've obviously been waiting this out which is probably the source if frustration on our side. gold price has exploded, jim's held fast and calibre haven't got the humility to accept that they probably would have just bought the thing two years ago.
