it's the usual managing 'short position' trading on good results, brokers etc will be softening the blow, taking the 'heat out of results in the name of keeping an 'orderly market'....the results will have a positive impact on the sp over the coming days..they'll be using a lot of ammo on a day like this ...all part of the trading game....a little patience on these good results will see a rising sp as the figures suggest :-)

A £644 million acquisition is set to keep output higher for longer at a North Sea company that produces about 5 per cent of Britain’s gas........

Serica had said already that the combination could help it to offset about £470 million of tax, to put more oil into its production base and to extend its reserves. Yesterday it added further detail, showing production would be maintained at the equivalent of at least 40,000 barrels of oil per day to the end of 2025. In a best-case scenario, that could reach 49,000 barrels from the enlarged group’s existing portfolio..................

indeed, on the basis of the presentation it looks like a great deal of the negativity will be erased and I fully expect a yes vote to carry through and equally a rising sp as current price is clealry attractive with a forward look based on what we just heard ...I'm sure there will still be divided opinion, it's what makes a market etc, however, if all is as stated, no reason to doubt, then the current share price will appear cheap in the coming weeks ;-)

a soon to be Oil stock as well, complicated deal, understand some frustrations, however, once settled I think 'off set losses' and oil combined will provide decent uplift and greater stability along with cash flow..

sp looks set to rise from her me thinks due to the diversified nature of the business and those losses have a greater value than suggested it appears :-)

a fair point James, each case is of course unique, however, at our current 4p there does appear a great deal more upside on any agreement with Maxwell, combined with the everyday business appearing to be progressing to profitabilty as well the combination of both being achieved in the coming months would provide a major boost to our current lowly sp :-)

XX enters FY23 with a small and reducing cash burn and is expected to start to trade
profitability this current financial year (FY23) on revenue run rates as low as A$8m.
With many new products launched and steady demand growth being seen across
the board we still anticipate strong growth in FY23
which should lead to profitability for the group. With FY22 trading in line with
expectations, and profitable trading expected to start this year, and significant
