Yes, his first question but tbh he tried several different topics to try and land a punch on Boris and he didn’t really follow up on any of them. Caroline Clueless from the People’s Green Republic of Brighton tried to get the investment question back on the agenda but it was just batted away and then the grumpy Scottish Nationlaist leader who’s name always escapes me went off on his usual five minute moan that everything is really unfair for Scotland ??

There is clearly some awareness of UKEF investments now which makes me a little nervous but so far Boris appears to be strong enough to dismiss overly hysterical demands

Corbyn raising the UKEF issue in PMQs (just says "a Govt agency") ....Boris effectively ignores the specific point and just says UK has good record on CO2 reduction.....pretty clear that he has no intention of stopping oil & gas investment per se

....not deramping GOZZIE, I’m a long term holder in RKH (+ ARG & BOR) but no longer accumulating so only interested in them rising

My post is a genuine comment on what I have just watched on a major UK News programme

It’s a pretty depressing watch. The climate Nazis are winning the hearts and minds war and the fact that no practical alternative solution is available to continue our current way of life is irrelevant to them

The focus on UKEF may blow over but if it gathers any momentum then we are in trouble as far as the FI investment goes

No, confusion between £ invested and shares held
I first entered RKH in 2013 then added in 2014 but only small amounts
Started averaging down in 2016 and continued to do so through to 2018 and stopped at 225k shares at an average of c23p (£52k invested)
I also hold BOR (700k shares) and ARG (100k shares only) both at low price average

I don’t think I’m a gambler, I see this as my high risk, high reward piece of my portfolio....the rest is a little more boring (I hope!)

I also think my change of sentiment from 60-40 to 30-70 and now back to positive is a fair reflection of events over the last year, both PMO/RKH related and wider macro and socio economic but through it all I have tried to remain calm, I haven’t added to my RKH holding because I felt I was in danger of risking too much of my capital (I am increasingly tempted though) and will remain a holder until this plays out

I don’t post very often but when I do it’s just to repeat the mantra that RKH is, and pretty well always has been, binary. Either SL goes ahead or it doesn’t.

If it does then the SP will re rate significantly, if it doesn’t then we will have a few million in the bank and that’s about it. Nigoil and others are bullish and others are very bearish and that’s fine but there is no conspiracy here, nor BOD failure in my view, just a series of difficult circumstances which have led us to where we are today.

The announcement this week is a step in the right direction and it’s naive to think we wouldn’t have to renegotiate in today’s environment.

The oil is still there, the world is, at least for the time being, still using more of it.

DYOR and if you believe then buy at these rock bottom prices and if you don’t believe then get out and invest elsewhere but please don’t blame anyone but yourself, whatever happens.

For my part, I have held for many years and averaged down to 23p. I expect to either make a lot or lose the lot :)

I was going to hold until the end to get the 19.21 but got a bit nervous today given the news stories and I don't trust the people involved tbh...closed out my holding in a couple of trades at 19.165 and 19.18. "happy" with that and will find a better alternative for the cash.

Thing is, it was always a binary punt....multi bag or bust, FI oil is not an investment it is a high risk, high reward speculative opportunity.....and, it isn’t over just yet ??

I get that people are angry on both sides of the debate (Brexit anyone?) but some useful contribution and reasoned arguments would be great rather than 1 liners "it's dogsh**" or "it's a stupendous, super massive buy"

Still confident Nigoil? SP slipping back down towards 15 and it doesn't really feel like the move back up to 16+ the other day meant anything.

I will continue to hold but when I review my overall portfolio I now "value" RKH as zero or £££....I used to think it was 60-40 in our favour but I believe market sentiment and circumstances are now fairly negative and the odds are more likely 30-70 against...actually still reasonable considering the potential payout but it is a gamble now rather than an investment

That's a pretty big statement...are you really suggesting this is it? News is about to be released or already has been and we missed it?
I sincerely hope you're right as I hold 225K at 23p average. Not interested in ramping or de-ramping but I am not sure a 30minute intra-day price correction of a penny or so constitutes "this is it" statements :)

Don’t be a prat. I referred to the legal process insights, but as I also wrote, I value OM at zero.

RKH has been binary since the PMO deal...SL sanction or not. I am staying in as it is my highly speculative punt which could pay off big or go to zero. The rest of my portfolio is far more balanced.

I guess my salient point still broadly applies that: whilst the RKH case has to pass certain thresholds for them to take on I would assume they spread that risk in turn by having multiple cases and internally expect to clos x of them

either way, as I say, my post was more to remind myself that OM is in no way guaranteed and even if won, as you say, the actual payout may be lower than some are imagining.

Personally, I factor it in at 0% in my risk evalutaion....its all about SL sanction by PMO

The one thing about the OM case that we should probably all consider is that it is very likely the legal firm have multiple cases on the go and expect to win a proportion and lose the rest

RKH could fall in either camp

So when people say “why would they spend xx££ speculatively?” well, that’s their business model.....work five cases and expect to win two...

I’m long RKH and staying in to see this play out but I am in no doubt that it is highly speculative and I may lose the lot.....anyone who continually posts that it is a strong buy and a sure fire winner is, frankly, overly optimistic at best and dangerous at worst

Sorry to hear your difficult position Carrot and I’m sure many have their own significant personal exposure.
I have over £50k in RKH but with a low average of 23p I have some chance of recovery (I also have some in BOR and ARG)
This week has seen a fair bit of turmoil in the markets and I do feel we sometimes think RKH lives in a vacuum whereas in reality it has some market correlation as do all stocks

Your assesment that the company could run out of money may well be true but we still have a number of years cash left and the FI story simply has to be ignited before then given the overall question of oil’ future

Therefore, I still think we are in the same binary position we have been in for years now....either FI oil happens and we will multi bag or it doesn’t and the company will be worth pennies. That has always been my realistic view of this share and my investment amount and risk was always made on this basis, no other stock in my portfolio has this profile (I hope!)

Way too much emotion on this forum when surely everyone should have understood the high risk nature of this company and the FI in general
