Whatamess….of course people will catch it, we have to live with it!
Young people are not dying from it and few need to go to hospital . I'm sure you can find me an internet scare story about mutation or devastating second waves etc but in reality it appears that Covid 19 is a high risk for a certain demographic so we should do all we can to protect them whilst at the same time get the world moving again (hopefully literally on IAG!)

People seem to forget that it is our dramatic economic success of the last 50-70 years which has enabled us to cope with and beat setbacks like this and going back to the good old days of the middle ages is not my idea of a good solution

Actually, the human race has taken dramatic and in many cases draconian action to try and mitigate the danger of Covid-19 but as it's almost entirely a fatal condition for older and more vulnerable people there have sadly been a fairly large number of deaths around the world. Of-course some countries have messed it up a bit (UK) and some countries are run by lunatics (US, Brazil)

On the whole though the world has shown its ability to pull together and come through difficult times and we will recover...as we always do.

IAG consistently made large profits and generated significant free cash flow. It is currently valued at 1/3 of what it was at the start of this year. It will recover strongly in due course as will the majority of well run businesses across the globe

I've got an average price of <220 so in pretty reasonable shape Jonnie... assuming this plays out the way we hope!

I was hoping this would be a 1 month trade but now planning a longer hold

Lots of talk about charts on here but I honestly think in the current crisis they are almost irrelevant, this is almost entirely news driven along with cash/liquidity

Nothing to stop this going back to 160 in the absence of any good travel news and with the continuing debacle in the US

I remain optimistic in the medium term but the next month or so could be pretty depressing

Fundamentals, in my view, includes the management team and BOD and key shareholders..... all that changed today... perhaps for the better but the maret is spooked

In fairness DK a melodramatic drama queen would not have a stop loss in place and would be currently panicking. I nearly took some profits when it hit the recent high but the second listing tempted me to stay on a little longer, doh!

And to be clear, in no way anti Russian but Putin and Russian institutions are not trustworthy or at least not a place to hold too much exposure!

I may well have jumped ship too early but you don't go bust taking a good profit and plenty more fish in the sea

I just got stopped out at 27p, 240k shares at an average of around 15p so overall excellent profits but a little disappointing given recent optimism
The reality though is this is now becoming a real Russian company (yes, I know it always has been but you know what I mean)

I love Russia and have been there many times but I would not trust their large businesses or institutions, they can and will literally do anything they want if they think it might benefit them and their leader is a despotic criminal who has zero respect for civil liberties or what most consider democracy

POG may well fly from here but the risk profile has just changed dramatically for me and there are plenty of safer bets in the market

I know it's been discussed a million times but when are we expecting the OM decision? We're about to head into Q3 / H2 and still radio silence

I got in around 200 with a medium term target of 400 but yesterday decided this could go pear shaped given the bad news coming out of the US so placed a stop at 244.....really thought I was going to wake up see a sold notice!

Reviewing the lessons learned
1. Remember your target and why you placed the trade in the first place
2. Consider taking some profits after a big early spike
3. Place stops far enough away and especially avoid round figures/support levels

I got point 3 spot on as it bounced off 248 as far as I can see
As for what it's going to do now...?? !!

It would only be ten minutes work for our overpaid leader to change the date on his usual PowerPoint and upload it to the corporate website.... mind you he would have to remember to amend the Egyptian assets slide so it might be fifteen minutes so on reflection this could be one of his annual KPIs and trigger a bonus or a few million free shares

Just watching our shambolic PM "explaining" why it was pointless having quarantine over the last few months but now because we have the virus "under control" it is vital to stop dodgy foreigners infecting us!!!!

Just logged on for the first time today and was shocked to see we had gone up by a whopping 1p+ the fact that translates to a 25% rise is the real tragedy!

It really does feel like the last days of Rome now.... SL looking very unlikely and it does appear our only chance is a decent OM layout but I've always thought getting anything from Italy as they do operate in quite the same way as proper first world economies and their awful experience with CoronaVirus will, I believe, make them even less likely to pay up

I'm 300k shares at average 21p so thought I was actually in a decent position but all bets are off now
