What a day! Decided to cut my losses and get out of all my Covid positions as best I could... Not easy on HL and lost 15-20% of my portfolio value although in truth I had made that in the last couple of months so I'll end the year pretty much neutral

I understand all the comments on this and related boards but I feel the reality is markets work mostly on sentiment and if we feel Covid is soon to be beaten then the chance of multi bags for most of these stocks goes away... Yes they may well rise again but you have to ask yourself if SNG had announced a COPD treatment when 30p and we didn't have the drama of Covid would it have Gone to 200p and raised £87m?...perhaps, but I doubt it and even with Covid the outlook now is very different as the hot money will be looking for other growth and recovery stories

I was appalled when they first used it and then senior Tory ministers repeated the same propaganda.... Its extraordinary they are getting away with it

either way, testing is only going up so ODX and NCYT and others should benefit.

I managed to hold my nerve yesterday and didn't sell...mostly because it was clear everything was falling so not NCYT specific.

Very pleased with the recovery today and as others have said, hopefully we seeing a base in the 8/900s which should support the next rise up

Ultimately, profits and a healthy balance sheet will always win out in the long term and this is shaping up to be a very, very nice business over the coming years

still falling though....lunchtime dip still to come and then we'll see but think we'll sadly be in the 700s tomorrow. Still comfortably more than double what I paid but will have to start considering an exit if the market sentiment has truly changed here.

sadly looks like it could be back to where we started...nothing has really changed form last week other than we got a small grant to press on with Covid research but the market is not rational theses days and too much hot money going in and out of small stocks based on the latest rumours and Covid related news.

I think they only warned there may not be travel until end 2021 from "high risk" areas (Europe / US !)

This could all change if testing and treatments improve

Lots of lessons to be learnt for many here today I imagine (including me although I got out in the 130s this morning). Stock trading and investing is a game of speculation and for added fun it takes place in a shark infested pool.

There is no substitute for discipline and taking profit....going to write that out again for myself 100 times!!

Not sure it is the same as ODX, it only just rose to £1 yesterday when the first Govt order arrived... 4D had risen massively on the expectation of a stellar IBS result... The problem imho is that most investors haven't really got a clue regarding the complex medical and scientific detail (understandably) so when an rns arrives that is not crystal clear "we have cured cancer!!" then people sell and as we know, sell offs are almost always more brutal than rises

Decided to get out at best I could 75k at 131......bought at 62 and need to improve my taking profits decisions as have held too many times during falls

Hope this does recover for all LTH though

But at what price? £1?
