Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
So not a word for four months!
Any discussions progressing?
Very poor comms so far
Either way, I'm expecting price per carat here to be pretty close, if not over 700/c from here on in
Would also be useful to see some production increase and a decent size stone or two in the pipe line?
Been extremely quiet here for a couple of months, is the company still open?
New project in the pipeline?
From looking at the trades over the past week or two, does look like a bit of churn going on that could do with drying up
Very much hoping a ceasefire can be reached to avoid further escalation. Although it does make me wonder what the Chinese are thinking, seeing all these Russian companies at pennies on the dollar. Crazy times
Nice results, and the diamond prices looking stronger by the month. Also wet season pretty much ending so I'm hoping to start seeing volume increases to follow.. $$$
Looks like the diamond market is catching a bid
High inflation and lots of liquidity bodes well
Could well lead to a good year for BRD

Absolutely Bmeister and when you think that's from a number of stones all sub 10 carat, $565 is pretty great.
Although last year was tough and the delays in completing the production expansion killed sentiment, with output set to increase and diamonds fetching the prices they currently do, its hard to see how value wouldn't be recognised over the year.
Outlook seems to be continual record production in terms of ore mined and carats produced, hopefully along with some big stones every so often.. £5m Mcap is looking cheap
Partly, Ig, Production licence for Selva is expected soon so I think that has something to do with value being noticed also

European union starting to understand that energy needs to come from somewhere.
Maybe someone has noticed that those using electric vehicles in Germany are likely running them on coal!
From memory, when Ed was in the driving seat it was mentioned that the 17% of selva could provide ~2m pa to the company, this was back when the gas price was a lot lower than it is today. Since then the European gas prices went 4x and have since come back in to some extent.. but assume it averages 2x for a year or two and the revenue from selva would look more like 4m pa.
If Prospex takes its holding to the proposed 35% and gas prices remain fairly resilient, selva alone could generate somewhere around 8m pa for the company, would take some work to get there, asset backed lending/some dilution etc but the ROI would look pretty healthy.
As long as the bod don't f##k things up along the way, achieving revenues of around £8 - £10m pa would I suspect lift the Mcap by quite a lot, time will tell to see if these guys can manage it
Nice to see a little positivity, or at least some good news for once
Considering the European gas and electricity prices of late, revenue should be looking pretty good
"As stated in the announcement on 1 October 2021, the system optimisation project is expected to boost income from power generation by up to 65% by achieving 24-hour operations."
And how is this going? bod
Well It looks like team BRD couldn't quite complete the expansion for October, new plant commissioning maybe but completion for early November is not too far off now! Hopefully the bod are a little more vocal when all's up and running
Wise words HII, "Recognise where we are in a cycle, all boats rise with a rising tide. The good the bad and the ugly."
The rising tide over the last year or two has helped many a small 'gold' cap fill the coffers
Ibiza, ground activity is seasonal in Mongolia, might take until spring after the big thaw before there's a little action
Something to think about at El Romeral. If memory serves me correctly and thinking back to prior production levels, the power station was running a little over break even at around £1m p/a?
Electricity prices are now x4 so turning over ~£4m p/a
Automation and upgrades being undertaken from this week gives a 65% increase, so £6.6m p/a (current production levels)
Planned workover starting this week is looking to double production so potentially ~£13m turn over p/a based on current electricity prices?? (total)
Looking like pxen is in a good spot and failed EU energy policy seems to be working in its favour, hopefully the bod can make hay while the sun shines and that's not including Selva
If El Romeral is successful and Selva sign off lands over the next 2/3 months, It wouldn't make a difference if Mr Magoo was running the company, £5/6m Mcap will look cheap
No worries Flundra, think I hijacked the thread anyhow, my thoughts are similar in terms of Dunraven. I'm keeping an open mind in terms of projects, even if the RNS does say mining.
Feels like a great chance to see this move forward
Thanks Flundra, but I was being more specific than just MINING projects
Indeed Jack, now the deadlock appears to have been resolved it leaves TA to put forward the project/s he has in mind.
Cash and assets for sale look to be between £6m-£7m so the sp in my opinion now has clear upside
Hopefully the new team moves quick!
