couldn't give a fiddlers what you think - just proving my point about cretins that don't bother checking facts before they spout out. I won't bother re-posting original, your not worth the time.

A while ago I posted that I had sold a significant part of my Tlw holding (@49.5p) and I was pilloried by certain members of this board. It's not something I do as I have been a LTH in Tlw for many years. The reason I'm posting this is because I bought back in @39.5p proving one strategy can lose you money. Just think people should be more tolerant of others viewpoints/actions instead of branding them "non-believers". I think CNE hedge-funds have been behind the fall in the SP as it happens and now that has terminated the recovery begins.

CNE and its weak management are in the grip of opportunistic hedge funds who want a quick breakup for cash - Tlw are well rid and at least they didn't raise the offer. CNE shareholders may find when you go to market to sell O & G assets (like Tlw in Uganda) you won't realise quite the high price you were expecting. Let's see the affect on the SP Monday morning.

My mistake

Goodness knows what the price would be now if it wasn't for Azvalor's intervention. No buying interest at all today. With a 3 hour capital markets day on the horizon they better have something meaty to say on Ghana, Kenya and 2023 prospects.

My thoughts would be a 3.4miilion sale would decrease a stake or increase a short!

Racksonrack, I didn't say " only companies held primarily by private investors are takeover targets". Most of those institutions have heavy losses like many of us and a takeover bid at the current SP would be max 70p. Not that appealing and with average volumes in the last 6 months, you can hardly say somebody is stake building. Just trying to add a bit of realism not ****

For those of you who believe a T/O is imminent, remember Institutions hold about 56% of the shares with a further 17% held by Sam Dossou-Aworet both personally and through a trust that he controls. Firstly who would be interested in Tlw and its 2.1 bln debt and secondly, Azvalor and Sam on their own could put a stop to it. The oil majors are divesting not acquiring acreage.

Jefferies buying/selling on behalf of clients. They don't have a holding in their name, unlike Azvalor

Hopefully Stuartv -their holding has consistently increased over two years which would indicate that they do not lend to shorters.

Bought 611k @41p - now hold 11.5%. They continue to see value here in spite of Jefferies view.

A big sell trade reported after hours would explain a 6% drop today. Could be general market turmoil and need for liquidity. Let's hope so - the other alternative something has leaked out about Kenya.

Don't know why people bang on about manipulation - there hasn't been a bit of good news out of this company in 18months. The company is barely profitable @ $87 a barrel if you strip once-offs out of the results, and 2.1bln debt. Maybe that has something to do with it.

Agree Bailiff - this is the time the mugs sell. Markets have already anticipated the worst case scenario and whilst there maybe more selling, if you sell now you're behind the curve.

You have never ever had a single positive sentence to write about Tlw and yet you say you invested earlier this year - please! Thankfully the rights issue you were continuously predicting (even when the SP was in the early teens) didn't take place.

Could be a bit of brinkmanship to squeeze the best terms out of the operators - dosen't make sense otherwise

Easy - 10 wells and 600mln later. Some of the wells just keeping production at current levels. Others set to increase production in 2023 and a few exploration dusters thrown in.
