Having got free gas for years, I don't believe Rahul will have the ability to agree a deal for supply of gas on a commercial basis. But at the very least he should stich in permission to explore/develop the 1.5tcf gas he says lies in the licence area.

There is only 1 genuine purchase of shares by the directors in many years and that was our friend "Mich" (50,000 as I recall) the reason being that they get such a generous "performance" award of shares they don't need to spend their own money like us. They are hoping to have heads of terms for the gas by end of year - a long way away from an agreement so don't hold your breath. It's debt-to-EBITDAX. The reason we're hitting the 1.5 times ahead of target is because of the high oil price increasing EBITDAX and not because debt has reduced dramatically.

I get that, but just for once it would be great if Tlw could surprise to the upside and not have negative surprises. Deferring the Capital Markets day actually creates uncertainty as to whether Kenya will ever get delivered. One positive is if they decide to drill in Cote D'Ivoire it could be a fasttrack production increase if successful.

Just what the market wanted - deferring Capital Markets day and lower end guidance for 2022.
