We also need to bear in mind the nuanced difference between an asset sale, not covered by takeover code and a company sale that is. WE simply do not know and Calibre have not cleared anything up, they say they don't have an active offer for the asset. Have they said anything about the company as a whole though?

It wont go for £60-70m however, al lot of us jaded long termers may be happy to vote for £90m or thereabouts. I'd be elated at that even if it wasn't what I wanted. More importantly I'd be happy with MTL paper and to be part of a producer.

I wonder if our Chairman will finally decide to offer himself.

Indeed, they do not intend to make an offer in this 28 day window.. They wont be sucked into a game of defence by Condor right now.

My take fwiw is Calibre are somewhat upset they've been dragged into this by Condor. In fact they are being used by Condor to defend themselves from an offer they are not overly keen on. At the moment they have chosen not to play the game. They have not said though that they categorically will not play the game.

I reckon around the £100m mark would be a good result given our history. I'd be happy to take the Metals offer as it stands. Calibre may be just playing a game but we have an offer on the table, they'll have a hard time refusing.

They have to mention who they are advised to mention. It’s all driven by the regulator.

Others may have already been tried and withdrawn.

I reckon it’ll possibly open up between 20 and 30% then see where the market takes us. Very much depends on content of RNS. It may be can’t say much, it may be detailed. Who knows.
