It was a good trade and a quick profit. We all do things differently, my point was that earlier you had a pop at me to say no-one can see into the future (which I agree with 100%), but you're doing the same thing. You're projecting your ideas into what is more likely to happen in the future. You took the risk, you were right and you quite rightly got a profit for it. It seems to me to be exactly what we all need to be doing. Buy low sell higher.
Even on YOU in your pension, you are projecting your idea into the future and fingers crossed you'll be right and get bigger principle sum in your pension. The biggest difference between what you're doing in the pension vs the SB account, is 1) time and 2) need for acess to the money (which is also time related).
You'll get no criticism from me for taking risk and getting rewarded for it. But it does, necessarily involve 'looking/guessing' at the future. Best not to do that completely randomly, best to have a rationale to identify where a profit is more or less likely.
