Did I claim you were? I said that you were a complete KO. That's different, traders aim to exploit differences between highs and lows to make money. KOs apparently have no idea whatsoever what they are doing, attach themselves to a stock and stick like a leech while hoping for a big reward. I've seen that before!

So, since I suggested the downside was not over, we've dropped back to 26.25 (roughly what I suggested; but the drop is not over). Give us a short/medium term call KO. This is about investing or trading. Both approaches aim to make money. Adding on every drop and being unable to rationalise your position on a rise is about bine g a complete and utter KO

Grow up KO and start to do what you intended to do. Make some profit.

It's not yet clear the drop is over. I think we'll retrace to 26.2 or lower. A break (close on the day) below 25 looks to bring 23.5 or 22 into play.

I'm reading it differently, to me it's in-line although FX has been against us. If the SP has been suppressed by concerns over the update, we could rise as a relief move. Certainly hope so.

Good RNS from Smartspace this orning. I thought it could lead to a positive read-across here. For those who don't know it

This follows on from a recent Trading Update, which was announced on 16 August 2022."

I just wondered if a 'holistic' approach to buildings management might link this type of business to our sector. No obvious evidence it has done anything of the sort of course, but it does suggest spending in a related sector continues to be good.

Closed that for a 20p loss. My entry was based on the weekly chart showing 2 converging supports. That can be a strong reason to believe there'll be a bounce. It doesn't like it's worked this time and I don't fancy watching it drop further. GLA

Purely on technical grounds I've opened my first long position today at 452. I personally think that there is a strong chance that 438/440 is a short/medium term bottom barring bad news. So speculatively, I am assuming we might attract more bulls. I'm not investing. I'm trading it.

I've been buying a few and worrying about it over the last few sessions, but it does finally seem as if the bulls are getting the edge. I'm actually finally in profit at 320 after costs/spreads. Fingers crossed it'll continue up. I'd say a close above 314.5 is a bullish sign. I have my fingers crossed. That's currently againt the run of play in the wider markets also.

I think so too TR. Not sure on timing, but yesterdays rise looked to be a backtest of a breakdown from a tl support (Mar 2020, Sept 2020, Jul 2020 then a break down end of Sept 2020). There's reasonable support (Mar 2022-May 2022) at around 140. A close below 140 on the daily, looks likely to see the downside play out with 130-132 being an initial possibility of strong support. With the recent mayhem on the wider markets I would not discount the down-side possibilities here.

What does that mean for us from a read-across point of view. Can't be positive I've have said.

I have to say Pearls, I had the same thought. It's been a while since I've been exposed here, but that RNS looked surprisingly downbeat. I can't see how that's going to light a fire under the SP.

Maybe it is a top up opportunity, but I suspect today you'll make money faster elsewhere. Pussy, I'd reverse that decision now and go for a bank or airline or something else today as DT will likely prove to be an 'opportunity cost' in the meantime.

Gratefully I was out before close of play yesterday. Almost tempted back in earlier but glad I wasn't. If the SP can finish the day at or above 127 that is tl support on the daily chart. If it can't hold that, there is of course the previous low of around 50, but assuming that's not going to be hit then you can draw quite nice descending tl support from June 16th to Aug 23rd that would be hit a 3rd time from above around 117/118. The interesting thing about that line is that extrapolated back, it was a resistance area during Oct and Nov 2020. Might or might not have some significance (I think it does) and I'm watching very carefully. Tempted to enter speculatively, but most of my success has come from day trades recently so may not do that today.

Still seems to be probing the downside though. Not DT specific, a lot of things still looking for more downside.

Clark, did you see M&B's RNS this morning. I don't think it reads well for Spoons for the moment. Might be more pain to come here (everywhere!)
