Why oh why oh why....did I think it was a good idea to read NC's latest HAV drill numbers on here at 2am with you lot? I am now sitting in an airport knowing I have not slept enough for the day of work ahead.

I'm just wondering, with an ore body seemingly at depth in HAV that the only potential banana skin is a shallower body also of a decent size / grade close to Telfer. It may be easier for NC to go for the shallow economically viable finds first to keep Telfer going. Fine if it is another GGP holding such as Scallywag, but would be a bit of a bubble burster if it was one of our neighbours.

Trying to stop myself for getting even more exposed with my already disproportionate GGP holding.

I never short - two reasons. First is it introduces a new direction of share movement that can cause me to lose money. And second my legs get cold.

The arithmetic doesn't change whether you are a new or existing holder. Buy during the week cheaper than the offer price today / market price today.

The only scramble today are my eggs for breakfast on toast.

Directors promised to buy 0.25
Shore capital have to buy 1.0
Potential shortfall is 6 8 minus 0.25 minus 1.0 = 5.55

If I had 10k I wanted to invest here I would've spent my money earlier in the week when shares were less than 2p. And not bothered to wait to buy them at 2p via the offer.

It is straightforward arithmetic and logic.

The only wonder is the ability of the MMs to get the buy price above 2p for a few hours on the morning of the offer....

Artemis have announced they have raised $5.9 million, cleared their debt and have a spare $1.1 million for spending on making holes in Australia. How close to Havieron will be the first one? Good results on their side of the boundary take our discoveries closer to commercial viability. NC will make sure they can mine both sides of any boundary line if there is gold to be had.

Looks like big news from the Woodford equity fund that has been closed - shutting up shop entirely. So what will be the new name for us in WPCT. That W is going for sure, and maybe we could adjust the Patient to Peeved? Trust to ?

Just looked at historic charts. I must've traded in the 6 and 7 ranges. £5.83 may not be such a big loss after all, may even be on the positive side of break even ...... In my dreams by thruppence.

Would also love to hear it is not a plain vanilla capital raise but Newcrest doing 100% of the funding for first refusal to buy whatever is found.

A buyout. Darn it, at that price I'm probably being forced to crystallise a loss. I think I bought these in headier times wgen it was up at 8 and 9s, made some money trading dips and peaks..... Then got suckereed into buying the next dip that promptly plunged into a trough.

Here's hoping for a counterbid.

Artemis are taking another day for their capital raising. Would love to hear that they are heading off to drill their side of HAV right at the boundary. With Oz summer heat approaching they're gonna have to be quick to get all in place on site - rig, crew, drill strategy. I'm presuming they have permission already and may wait for Newcrest drill results to finalise the strategy of precisely where to drill.

Directors are committed to take up £250k if PIs don't fully subscribe. Be interesting to see if they do part with a wodge when they could potentially buy the same shares on the open market at less than 2p on the day of the Open Offer.

I can see them not raising the amount they need via PIs and the Open Offer to commit to drill.

Document clearly states it is for capital raising. Perhaps they are keen to drill their side of the HAV boundary and need some money to get the rigs in? The capital raising announcement should let us know.

I think we are in a good place and able to choose our future. Say during the next 12 to 18 months HAV is drilled endlessly, spending the required 65 million to prove it is a twenty or thirty year resource so that Newcrest get their percentage up to seventy. At a point we will need to contribute our thirty percent to mining costs. There will be a queue of people at our door wanting to loan us X million knowing we are in a share of a Y billion dollar project and we have decades of income ahead of us with the gold / block caving experts of the world doimg the technical mining bit. Very attractive for some in a world of low interest rates. Look at how infrastructure funds operate....
Or we deal with the other second queue at our door to sell out our thirty percent chunk. Trouser the money instantly and go off to drill our next good looking prospect. I may already be so old I personally fancy the second choice.

I'll settle for a two bag to get back to break even. And then wait impatiently for access back into my SVS account so I can trade.
