Tnx for the link to the contour map - that's the one I recall seeing before.

Not too sure I have the geological background to interpret stuff from the second link - other than "they should've kept drilling and going deeper".

Does anyone have previous experience of how many drills get mobilised to prove up a possible Tier 1 resource during its early stages? I think NC were mobilising 2 at their recent investment in Red Chris - it may have been an additional two to the existing two. Six at HAV would imply more optimism? Or just desperation to get ore ready for feeding Telfer?

For sure it's going to be an interesting start to 2020.

NC ain't going to spend a penny/cent in Scallywag without a formal agreement in place. However, GGP will be drilling there, and possibly getting use of the NC HAV camp facilities to support their crew in the field.

I was hoping the answer might become Scallywag. The cover material is meant to get shallower as you move NW. I saw something somewhere in one of the many techie docs I leafed through saying it was 70m in that area on another pretty multicoloured map. No idea where that info was, haven't seen it again recently. Still about 65m thicker than ideal. It also doesn't quite square, at first glance, with info circulated by Paddy yesterday regarding historic Scallywag drilling to circa 100m in four locations. NC stopped having found nowt. They may just have been unlucky in the 30m of hoped for gold bearing material and missed the veins.

Have plonked their four holes' coordinates into the recent satellite images so know where to look* in early 2020 to see if GGP go back down these holes first but extend the drilling to greater depth.

*My co-ordinates may not be accurate - converting eastings and northings into latitude and longitude lead me past a website of brain melting maths. Flattened spheres and curved surfaces being projected into flat planes. Easily taught to a child at this time of year - peel the satsuma in as big a piece as possible and then try and flatten it out to cover the kitchen table. Then point out how many cuts you need to make it lie flat, and where neighbouring bits of peel end up far apart. My locations didn't quite match NC's historic map, although I'm blaming the distinctive sand dunes for moving.

The time to develop a deep block caving mine at HAV to feed Telfer, without it ever having to be idle, may become irrelevant. If decent shallow ore is found by any exploration activity within the same distance of 45km, maybe even slightly further away, but without our 400m of worthless cover material on top of it, which can be reached via an open pit, it could be developed before HAV.

I'm presuming an open pit that can scrape off a bit of top soil and reach gold ore from 0m can be started within a year or two, and is worthwhile for even a million or two ounces . That stop gap would feed Telfer for a while giving NC all the time they need to get a mine at HAV up and running.

It's always worth keeping tabs on what the neighbours are doing in terms of their own exploration for this reason. I view them as reinforcing our project, not gazumping us. I'm particularly reassured that 6 rigs shows how NC have their foot to the floor to prove up HAV. Any increase in that rig count in Jan will be even more comforting that all my little limit buys / over exposed position is going to come good with patience.

I also doubt much that Telfer would rust to a pile of scrap even if it were shut for a year or two. It's not exactly siting in a harsh wet environnent.

Hmmm, clouds on today's satellite picture. A wee tendril just stretching out to tease us by hiding much of Havieron. Maybe we could pass the time till the next picture by starting a conspiracy theory about deliberately blocked out chunks of the Oz Outback, would go nicely alongside the usual bleating about MM manipulations?

I think there are another two holes / pads in the SW.... All following the same line but about 200m to the north west of a visible pad.....towards where the two geological / wind blown features merge.

Where did I read they have 45 holes? GH's RNS? Maybe more of those bits that I have discounted as spurious spots are actually drill sites.

And where did I read after 50 holes you should be able to do a decent calculation of a resource estimate? With all edges not confirmed, nor depth, it would be a minimum.

Applying logic, NC won't be building their camp on top of the payzone.....or anywhere near how a future 1,000m+ deep hole will look after a few years of block caving. So we should be absolutely certain about where one edge of mineralisation stops, leaving three plus depth to marvel at....

Think NC had to release their handful of results timed to suit GGP's AGM or wild speculation would have kicked off about what was being "hidden" from the market. The fact it is only a few, and some partial hole results makes me think, matching the decreased number of new holes in the last few satellite images, they are spending time and effort drilling deeper..... And don't have the analysing capacity to scrutinize kilometres of core as fast as six rigs can produce it.

PC - I did think it is too good to be true, although your analysis is fair. I do worry that Murata are leaving the supercapacitor technology market and focusing on their alternate multilayer. I also hope the production line move is handled well - wouldn't want to not have enough inventory to cover delays in the move and keep existing and potential new buyers able to get the products they want, when they want them.

Anyone know what production lines Cap-xx have moved before?

Sympathy up to a point Reece. I'm trapped unable to sell as I am holding these in SVS. Pretty sure I would've sold at 4p, then definitely at 8p..... So here I am still trapped (no doubt with many others) at 20p+.

Satellite update will be a curiosity - there was indeed not much change that I could see between the previous two weeks - I only spotted one fluffy cloud to the SW. So far out and white even I couldn't squint at it and declare it to be the ultimate in step outs.

So, presuming they are drilling to 2,000m consistently, and perhaps only working nights if the day time temperature is circa 40C, there will be minimal new signs? They do have a fairly substantial camp set up presumably with good air conditioning, so this is maybe the compromise between dangerous gdaytime heat to work in and the cooler hours of darkness - do continue drilling all southern hemisphere summer but only 12 hours out of 24 on a night shift?

I, in honour of all your good works PG, was going to try and work out the number of new holes appearing per week / fortnight / whatever by looking through the back catalogue of satellite images. Stopped when I realised I do still have to work for my boss during office hours.....

My theory is even with six rigs on site it ain't as much as six per week - which maybe indicates NC are consistently going down to 2,000m (or more?) rather than 1,400m done previously. Still looking for the end of the dipping cylinder of gold.....

Read MXO / ADME's recent history and then ask yourself what is different at PET.......

1 is not 100% accurate. They are not locked in during the first 12 months. If they land a big deal they can immediately sell. Or they can wait the 12 months plus a nano second and then sell.

Only folks locked in are those who bought via SVS.

If you zoom out lots you see multiple lighter stripes running NW to SE across a huge area. I presumed they weree dry drainage / river beds on the surface. It may not rain that often in the desert but when it does the ground is like concrete, absorbs nothing and every drop of rain ends up in a flash flood in these normally dry channels.
