Saturday image came out mid morning. Not much new or different at HAV, couple of bits of activity.....the on site compound always seems to change a little.

..... The northern line of Scallywag had more activity. Nothing out to the far flung West. And nothing that I could see on the southern side of Scallywag. The radar image in a day or three may help us spot where the Scallywag RC drill is. Very tricky looking at ground differences to spot it on daylight images, whilst the core drill with its sump is a little more obvious. I thought it was very interesting that 2 drills were in use. They must be aiming for bits of Scallywag with deeper cover too if they have gone equipped. Deeper being more than a couple of hundred metres.

No sign of activity north, east or south where our neighbours are practicing nearology. Some of their planned northern holes were right on our boundary although they admitted with the dunes it may prove impossible to get to drill all their targets.

Working off a very very small screen:

HAV has activity NE and SW Swiss cheese areas.

Scallywag is busy on the northern sequence of holes. Nothing new to the far flung West.

..,but no-one here cares. You're all gazing at spreadsheets and making plans for when you are cutting and running.

Still profitable and the cash on hand is the only figure not down by about a quarter. So the board are buying back shares again and reinstating the dividend. Some folks are going to like that a lot!

Sentinel has it loaded now on their explorer web portal. Another new spot on the north side of the Scallywag dune further north than the first blue splodge and two neighbours.

Nothing new at the far flung NW of Scallywag.

Paddy, i did an early post that may have been lost in board noise - 5th August shows activity on the radar image just off a bend in the road, 1.5km east of the black dot. Nothing visible on daylight images either before or after.

Possibly two holes nowhere near any named targets. Odd....

It looks like a "no gravity target". There's about 6km of nothing between Black Hills South and Barbarossa - yet they have seemingly drilled two holes mid way between these two named targets.

Quite odd if we are interpreting satellite images correctly.

Whilst traveling through the archive of radar from Sentinal I spotted a 5th Aug signal. About 1.5km east of SC001's obvious black spot that showed up later. Daylight images from before and after show no obvious ground disturbance. It is close to a bend in the road, but that is not uncommon for exploration holes. Could it be that they were drilling out here, I'm going to have to call it at SCAL000, with RC technology, found the going tough and switched to diamond core for SCAL001 a couple of weeks later?

Both of these holes SCAL000 and SCAL001 are not close to any naned target identified by magnetic/gravity surveys.

Could all be horribly wrong of course, working from a very small screen....

There has been much recent discussion regarding how to value HAV on this forum. I fear none of it has properly accounted for time, as per the application of the Black-Scholes option pricing formula. It may well be that our neighbours who practice"nearology" and are, correctly in my mind, scoffed at for their ludicrous claims about the potential on their "Havieron-like" tenements may be blind-siding GGP by playing a longer term game.

With the entire continent of Australia steadily drifting north by a chunky 2.7 inches per annum, all of GGP's land is going to become Artemis' eventually.

Wired = weird

I think the fact that there is absolutely nothing different at HAV is downright wired. I know they've got fan drilling, and deeper depths to go to, but with nine rigs there and five days coming and going I'd expect something to move!?! Even if it's moving a drill to the other side of a hole.

This is definitely odd....

I would've sworn it (yesterday's) was the same satellite image had it not been for one new bit of activity in Scallywag.

...and speaking of hings that are not there (yet).

"Nocturnal" images are radar images - not necessarily taken during the hours of darkness. Haven't quite sat down yet to read what aperture radar actually does but know the images tend to show things that are solid and chunky and stick up higher than their surroundings. The site offices tend to give good signals, and so do drilling rigs....

I'm curious about seeing how close they go to the boundary to the south / west with Rio's tenement - the Blackbeard target. We know they went north west and north from HAV within 500m of the Artemis tenement boundary. Although with radar images only every 12 days all sorts could happen by some careful planing of RC drilling by GH / GGP.

I guess it gives the neighbours an advantage/clue if they see activity on/near the boundary line - specially if it turns into a Swiss cheese.

Artemis are effectively helping us explore the northern limits of HAV courtesy of three of their proposed drill locations. (Haven't spotted any activity there yet...)

After posting I realised there was a daylight image from the 28th I could compare Scallywag radar activity too.

I can see absolutely nothing on the daylight image that aligns with the new radar activity.

So much for that fleeting excitement.

If we presume one rig and shallow cover (c100m), with RC drilling then I'm presuming they could do three holes per week.... And not leave much trace.

I guess this feeling of not seeing much from satellite images is going to be the norm when they build their exploration decline....

I haven't been to prison, but I have spent a fair while in South America. The high concrete walls, with broken glass embedded in the top, padlocked gate in the solid iron railings at the front of the houses was there to protect the "rich" from the desperate poor majority. Rich in this context of course means anyone who didn't need to think twice about buying lunch for one US dollar. I never quite got used to the idea of "securing" myself every night as soon as twilight approached, padlocking the gate to thwart the thieves. Is that the scenario where you want to live?

Taxes imposed and paid as a collective investment / insurance policy are for society as a whole - no system is perfect but I prefer the UK's attempt at keeping the show on the "civilised" road as compared to many others. I would rate the UK as a "could do better".....

There again I just so happen to live in an age where the UK is slowly and steadily sliding down the economic prosperity world rankings..... hence all the things that are good for society get cut for financial (and with Conservative governments) purely idealogical reasons. If I don't like it I could always leave the UK, but I certainly wouldn't moan about paying tax here cos I am very rich relative to the vast majority and have numerous entirely legal ways of avoiding paying tax. SIPPs, ISAs, gathering dividends, controlling how many PAYE hours I work, only ever selling my Primary residence and making any second home my new primary, etc etc etc.

And apologies to all for poking a stick into the ants nest labelled "tax". Anyone want to look at Sentinel images and spot things I haven't?

Scallywag is also active with signs on both north and south sides of the dune line..... if the biggest and most easterly clump is the field camp then there are three distinct signals - all from new locations (small screen, I could be wrong). There has been 12 days since the previous radar image so the one drill may have made them all....

There is also possibly more activity to the far west where there is at least one green signal in amongst the normal scattering of blue dots. I'm not sure at all about that last one as you have always had random signals in areas where the ground cover is not red sand.

Tax: if you don't like paying it move to a country that has none. But please don't start complaining that the roads are in ruin, the rubbish not collected, hospitals useless, schooling appalling, transport infrastructure decrepit and you have to pay for everything to get a reasonable level of service.

Very curious new Scallywag activity in the far flung north west for two reasons. If it has been lurking on the two previous images that means it dates back 15days minimum and would be one of the first active expliration spots. It ain't on any magnetic survey as a priority target ......and the black dot does look like a classic drill hole, the other Scallywag activity hasn't to date.

Ooooops, that's 3 reasons.....

Thanks Value_seeker (nice to see you are still around, I guess reading lots but not saying much like many) and PG, for spotting the Sentinel update - they do seem to be loading them at random hours of the day.

So... The pretty pictures - is the Scallywag activity on the north side of the line of sand dune really GGP exploration activity? One question is what on earth is the most westerly bit of activity - it appears blue in PaddyG's animation - and is absolutely huge!

If they have only one rig exploring Scallywag then the two or three new spots every 5 days would be a sure indication of good progress - drilling through shallow cover, grabbing the cores of 400m (? A guess from memory) and moving on to the next spot.

Patience, patience, patience - results end of September for what they are finding now..... Unless they sneak in a golden looking section of Scallywag core into Newcrest's onsite analysis machine at HAV.

I think tomorrow will be 5 days since the last Sentinel satellite - so we will be due a new image. It'll be interesting to see if there is any increase in the two Scallywag locations where there has been activity. If the cover is shallow, and holes quick to drill compared to HAV, I think we should get two or three holes per week.....
