The UK will struggle anyway to meet the requirements of an electrified country with mostly renewables and vast reduction in fossil fuels.

Approx 1/4 of the world's energy is from coal mines.
From China through the US and Germany etc.
There is the need over the next 5-10 years to remove or mothball coal fired power stations.
There is then a gap in what is required to bridge the energy gap.
Electrification is coming with buggers demand from EVs.
You cannot unless I am mistaken get there at the turn of a switch.

So Uskmouth or similar related projects in my opinion only will form a bridge gap.

Is it perfect, no.
However is does provide energy from converted power stations with subcoal product.

That is why I think SAE with or without GFG will prosper.

Add in tidal and the SAE in whatever form does then look better.

Whether SUP in UK it will be used somewhere and I can see SAE or another using the process to act similar to biomass.

The plastic waste globally is mammoth and needs to be addressed. Surely on a bridge gap to zero this type of project and process is what will assist.

You cannot get to zero overnight SUP or similar then provides a temporary renewable solution.

Also don't understand the Too complex statement?

Tidal is very important. However this has issues due to the funding and lack of current drive by governments to use this renewable power more. Until that changes SUP in the UK or a plant built abroad would assist SAE.
