RE: Re the call in.....9 Apr 2021 13:03
As per previous post.
I agree that this should not be an issue.
I also think and it is my opinion.
That if the call in was rejected and no SUP going fort then a pre plan will already be in place for a SUP like project somewhere else.
The stars are staggering for coal at the moment globally hence the need to reduce and convert with a plan to get to zero.
I have commented a few times on the Asia area now wanting to go sub-coal or similar.
It is not a case of if but when.
Also ref call in and a any rejection. This will cause shockwaves and will put SAE in a position where they will not only convert somewhere else but will leave the plant and decommission as they see fit.
I am not aware of any pending or legal requirement that must be followed with regards to commissioning timelines when you may have actively looked at converting, hence Uskmouth would then stay as building awaiting decommissioning.
We are all not experts on what the outcomes may be to this saga.
We are however getting educated on a daily basis.
I think for every well researched person on this board who thinks call in will be rejected there is also the opposite.
When push comes to shove it really boils down to politics and agendas. Simple as that.
People may want to argue either side but that is the truth of the outcome here.
Leeds bradford airport. Gets the green light when really if you weigh it up probably should not have been.
Other projects fall either side of this and it all depends who and what motives the politics are driving at the time and will it get votes.
Not the right way I know, but reality.
I as most will know want SUP to happen but I am not deluded or wear rose tinted glasses.
The bigger picture with SAE in my opinion looks good
We shall see.
