Although reading through your threads I can see your logic I think the actual environment could not be better for the BESS PROJECT.

Yes the planning and surveys etc will be required but this is now nowhere near anything on the scale of Uskmouth coal fired regen project.

Thinks it is plain sailing and also that the tidal provision now in place will solidify this.

If you then consider all the areas where battery power from tidal which will be essential as it is constant can add to any further BESS type projects.

The energy sector for renewables requires a hell of a lot of spend and also infrastructure to deal with the coming 1-50 years demand as we go into electrification and hydrogen.

I also feel that the old Uskmouth type project will appear somewhere else for the method they were looking at near the Newport site.

This will in my opinion happen but will be in Asia, Australasia or Europe.
