Obone ref 08.17 post I am not sure that anyone on this board was at the Mello conference so could spill the beans. IN any event the difference in the revenue had been flagged up in the days leading to the Mello conference. So as far as we were able to based on the information that the people on this board had we tried to tell people.

Halpenny ref 08.10 The current planning permission is for the storage of gas. There is a nearby project looking at hydrogen storage which HARL has an interest in. It is likely that at some stage an application will be made for permission to store hydrogen at IM as well as gas.

I have just gone back to the Interim Results presentation which was on Investors Meet. At 52 mins you have the answer to my question. I am not sure that they fully answered it. I note that towards the end of the answer JW did address the revenue recognition and said they were being prudent.

Lottie123 I am not sure if this is your area but how likely is the explanation given in the trading statement is to be accurate. I know that professionals can disagree but a £20m difference?

I note that this issue about the wording in the Bid letter compared to the previous guidance. Also it looks like HARL has learnt from last year and did not wait until 31 December to tell everyone.

On the explanation as to why there is a difference between current and previous guidance while I am not an accountant and I will leave this to Chrisatrdg and others this sounds plausible.

Bubble2021 ref 07.58 post I think you need to read the entire thread to see what is going on. When you do that I think you will see that it is not as simple as you may think.

Broomtree ref 18.29 post I noted that JW was being blamed for people selling shares with no factual basis and there was no objection. However when I gave a fact based reason why JW was the cause then I am criticised for the words I used. Note not my argument that it was not JW saying anything at the Mello conference that caused people to sell shares. Classic playing the man not the ball.

I am going to be slightly controversial here. I do not believe that JW was necessarily the reason for the sell off. My reason is that when you look at the Intraday Share Chart the drop in the share price started at 1.45 or thereabouts. Chrisatrdg posted that JW was speaking at 11.35. So you would expect JW to have finished speaking by 12.35. The sell off did not start for anoher hour. Th question is did something else happen in that hour to cause the sell off.

Kaeren ref 14.01 post I was not expecting an RNS about anything in particular but I note that we have not had a comprehensive trading update about all the various activities that HARL has embarked on this year.

Broomtree ref 12.16 post I agree with you that is why I was expecting an RNS this morning. As I said in a post I think it was yesterday morning I was concerned by the fact that in the bid letter to Isle of Scilly Steamship Company for the first time JW said that revenues would be in a range of £80m - £100m. I hope this does not mean that HARL will undershoot revenue expectations again this year. If that was to happen this would further undermine confidence in the BoD in my opinion.

Chrisatrdg ref 08.22 post I was expecting a RNS this morning because of this. I was presuming that if he was going to say anything new we would get an RNS first. I suppose it is possible that we would get an intra day RNS timed with his presentation. If you are going would it be possible to feedback if anything new is said?

This is currently more of an issue for BAB and BAe.

Broomtree ref 18.10 post Iagree with your view in relation to Methil. The impression I get is that while the General Managers at Appledore and Arnish were hustling and going out looking for work the General Manager at Methil was quite content to just act as an overspill yard for the other three. My reason for this belief is that Methil and Arnish were acquired at the same time yet Arnish has been able to acquire work for itself yet Methil has not.

I am not sure if this has been posted but see JW liked this on LinkedIn. I am also not sure if JW Liking this post means that HARL might get some sub contract work on this. As it is defence work not sure.

I found no commonality in the information so I can only presume that they are unrelated company.
