Dawski37 ref 10.49 post the reference to Scilly reminds me that we are short of a number of regulatory notices from people who hold more than 1% of shares in HARL. Unless misread the rules and it is only shareholders in the steamship company that need to file the notifications.

From all I have read about the proposed debt facility it is my understanding that UKEF will provide a guarantee of up to 80% of the debt. They will not be providing any actual money that will be done by the lenders.

I do not know what security will be required for the remaining 20% however I do not think it will be in shares.

Rule 4 states 'While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate; rudeness, swearing, insulting posts, personal attacks, or posts which are invasive of another's privacy.' The only part of the rule that consuela may have breached is personal attacks which are aimed at JW and even there thatb is debatable. I say that because they tend to be opinion based views of his competence.

On the other hand TheDogFarther who I have on filter appears to have a total disregard for this rule judging by comments from posters who are replying to his posts. There is nothing stopping people making respectful posts discussing HARL which is what they should be doing. Banning consuela is not necessary for that all it needs is for everyone to make sure they do not breach rule 4.

Consuela ref 17.50 post No you do not need to be on the same wavelength but partial understanding of the procurement processes used by the MoD would be helpful. Before a procurement can be started the exercise has to be in the equipment so that the MoD can satisfy itself and the NAO that it can be afforded. The report highlighted in the article says that some of the things that the MoD are not currntly funded.

Consuela ref 16.25 post you have actually contradicted yourself you say that you read and understood my original post and the linked story. You then say 'you can't see anywhere in those articles that points to a timeline for procurement.' Those are two contradictory statements. If you understood the article you would know that what was being said is that there are no plans to move forward with the procurement as they are not in the equpment plan so there are no funds for them.

Before you ask I flagged the matter as these are vessels that are needed but not in the equipment plan.

Broomtree ref 15.16 post I would not put it pass them. I think it is also possible that the tender for the new ferries wuld require whoever wins the tender to build the ferries from the Ferguson Marine shipyard.

Consuela ref 14.51 post If you had read and understood my original post you would have known that none of the procurement exercises for any of the vessel types mentioned would be starting within the next five years at least. They would have to be in the equipment plan first which if I recall the article correctly they are not.

Consuela ref 13.50 post If you look at the matter objectively and consider what was done in relation to FSS I doubt you would say the same thing. You need to bear in mind that the issues cover different types of vessels. So I can see a consortium bid being made for various elements like Type 32 if it ever gets funding , MOSS and MROS.
