Muscorum I do not know as a fact that Boo80 is a he. It was an assumption on my part based on the tone and content of some of the posts.

After I all but called him a liar I was expecting some kind of response. However I have got silence

Boo80 - In relation to your 14,56 post when you said 'And I've just managed to get a 33 million-pound Grant or a share of that to start their first commercial plant' If you were referring to the phase 2 Hydrogen Supply Competition I have just checked the link to the list is on page 5 of the chat neither PHE or W2T are not on it. If it is a different grant can you provide a link to the announcement.

yellowf1 - In relation to your 13.50 post two observations firstly in relation to the Chinese the academic research I have seen on gassification technology was from Chinese academics so they are likely to be quite relaxed about any new entrants into the market. Secondly, as far as Sierra Energy is concerned they have only been abe to secure one order and that is for a unit that is smaller than the DMG unit. Also it's output is electricity and diesel so they may have an issue on environmental grounds with expansion.

Manabouttown - why do you ask would it change anything about what it says?

Sprogbarnes I understand the sentiment behind your idea but have you fully worked out the technical feasibility
of doing this. Apart from the cost of a DMG unit there is the cost of the necessary planning permission. In addition where are you going to put the unit.

takeaimfire my view on this is that it should only be done with the express agreement of PHE. As otherwise it may interfere with the plans for rolling out DMG units.

ManAboutTown So you are saying that despite all the evidence to the contrary there has been shorting of PHE. The only basis is you say so that sounds like supreme arrogance on your part to assume that you cannot be wrong.

On your placing point why can PHE not do what it did with the December 2018 placing and place it through clients of Turner Pope who would be more interested in the tax advantages than the price.

Kenny100 In relation to your 15.46 post I note from the link that it shows shorts from all sources including from funds so if there were shorts in PHE from a non market maker it should have been on the list. Obviously Manabouttown has another slource that he can share with us as two sources show no shorts at all in PHE.

LedZep - Thank you for your very helpful post of 11.49. Glad to see there is at least an outline of a backup plan.

AnneOwl I think we will have to agree to disagree on that. My take on why PHE was not successful is that it currently does not have a working DMG unit.

Telephoneman - While that may be the case the grant from the LEP was to W2T and one of the conditions was they had to have the funding in place. Is the case now that they will be satisfying the grant condition by saying that another body will be sourcing the funding.

telephoneman in relation to your 15.6 post I had not forgotten about that but we have no information on what those back up supply lines are and as I said in my 15.01 post to z-cars any lender would need to see feedstock supply contracts in place before they provide funding.

z-cars In respect to your post of 14.49 David Ryan is due to speak next month at an event where government officials will be attending I would not hold out much hope of anythng concrete coming out of the event as it is a policy forum. In any event I do not see W2T being able to obtain funding unless it can prove that it has a feedstock supply agreement in place. Any lender would want to be certain of getting payment back and in the absence of a feedstock supply agreement I do not see how W2T would be able to prove they will have the revenue to fund the repayments.
