Does anybody know when the AGM will be. I was expecting the Notice of the AGM ny now. Before anyone says anything I know I could ask PHE but I before doing that I thought I would check on here first.

The following is the text of an email reply from the Hydrogen Advisory Council secretariat

'Thank you for your interest in the Hydrogen Advisory Council. We are very pleased to have established the Council as a way of formalising engagement between Government and Industry.

Currently we do not have a mailing list for the Council but more information on the Council’s membership can be found on GOV.UK; Terms of Reference and meeting summaries will be published in due course.

We have proposed that the Council initially focus on actions to enable the scale up of hydrogen production, however we will be keeping membership of the Council under review to ensure it supports Government and Industry aims during this fast-evolving time for hydrogen in the UK. We are also actively considering ways in which to link effectively with Industry led groups.

We now have agreement of the Council to establish working groups to advance shared thinking on agreed priorities. We envisage wider membership in these and will share more information on how to formally express interest in joining over the coming weeks. We anticipate a high level of interest in the workstreams and to ensure groups stay focussed and effective numbers will be limited. However there will be other opportunities to feed into the policy development process as it progresses.

Should you be interested, we will be in touch with further information on our proposals for the workstreams and next steps in due course.'

I am thinking about what question I might ask at the AGM and just want to check. If PHE was to do a rights issue to raise money so that it can either expedite the rollout of DMG units or to expedite research into other technologies who would take part. I certainly would in those circumstances but not for general working capital.

Bewarethebrokers in relation to your 16.14 post if he was to do that it would spoil my fun.

yellowf1 In relation to your 08.59 post I note your opinion which is one that I do not share and judging by yesterday's RNS neither does at least one very experienced investment manager. Also the most recent RSI indicator I have seen which is from 24 July does not support you.

trilla1337 - In relation to your post of 07.04 if what is stated in the RNS about Aries acquiring the patents in a bankruptcy auction is correct then that could be damaging. I am not an expert in IP so I am not sure if they would be able to assert entitlement to the patent in the way that they have as opposed to relying on acquired rights. This could get messy as Aries now has a reputational risk if any of the staatements in the RNS are true.

This quote may be telling " I am more than excited for the opportunity to support Powerhouse realising this grand ambition.” I wonder if this is a signal that Aviva may be willig to invest either directly or through funds under management.

I note that with the appointment of the new Non Executive Director PHE has strengthened the Board experience with regards to infrastructure financing. I suspect that this might be linked to a funding proposal as he did say that he wants to help PHE and it is interesting where he is working now.

Vanheka In relation to your 17.50 post of yesterday I do not have a target price. I am currently minded to increase my holding within the next month. Unless something in the company changes which causes me to change my view I intend to hold for at least ten years. Before yellowf1 comments the reference to something in the company changes refers to an event that causes me to question whether the company will be able to continue. As an example I sold my holding in SXX when it started having difficulties with the stage 2 finance raising. I do not anticipate the same happening here as there is no need for such a large fundraise in PHE as with SXX.

I am by nature cautious and have read yesterday's RNS carefully. If this project succeeds it will generate signifcant revenues. I do have concerns. Firstly, under the current planning permission the facility can process 182,000 tonnes of waste. I am not aware of any gasification plant anywhere in the world that has processed that much waste. Secondly, bearing in mind the problems with Air Products I have concerns over mixing different feedstocks in the same gasification unit. With the size of the site it may be possible that you can have more than one gasification unit to separate out the different feedstock. Also the EQTEC techology has not been scaled up as far as I am aware to handle even half this amount of waste so to scale up to this level is a risk tha t would need to be managed.

Dave_1 In relation to your post of 18.18 I do not agree that PHE was too late with their letter as that letter was to the APPG on Hydrogen which was to inform the APPG's inquiry. I would ask yoiu too note what I said in my post of 18.06 today's annncement is not the end of the story.

yellowf1 in relation to your 17.57 post as a white paper has been promised for the autumn and a Hydrogen Advisory Council has been formed today I do not think that this is in anyway the complete investment by the incompetent idiots in hydrogen.

I have just seen this https://www.gov.uk/government/news/pm-commits-350-million-to-fuel-green-recovery there is very little that I can see of help to PHE.

yellowf1 in relation to your post of 12.38 I see you have abandoned the argument that W2T owns 40% of PHE which is sensible as it is in my view a legally unsustainable argument. I have never been a fan of W2T as far as I can tell they only achieved two things which are likely to be instrumental to the growth of PHE going forward. Firstly, the introduction of Peel to PHE. The second is the introduction of DR to PHE. I have not forgotten about Toyota which is a potential third but the benefit of that is at present unclear to me.

'Dear Sirs

Firstly, can I ask to be put on the mailing list for information on the work of the advisory council including details of any online meetings or workshops that are open to the public. Secondly, can I flag up one issue. Policy Connect in their recent report time to waste did not engage much with the role that gasification can play in the production of green hydrogen. The question which the Policy Connect report did not consider is whether there is a case for further research and investment into gasification. I would argue that due to the environmental advantages of gasification over electrolysis the answer to this question is yes. This can be demonstrated by looking at the technology being developed by Powerhouse Energy. Powerhouse Energy has planning permission to build a waste to hydrogen plant on the Protos site in Cheshire. This plant will take 35 tonnes a day of waste unrecyclable plastic and convert it into 3.4MWe of exportable electricity and up to 2 tonnes of hydrogen. As you can see this process deals with the problem of waste plastic in a way that is both carbon neutral after offsets and provides low carbon electricity and hydrogen.

I would ask that the advisory council should consider the role of gasification in the production of cheap low carbon electricity.'

yellowf1 - In relation to your post of 09.53 as W2T have ceased to be a separate entity and is now a wholly owned subsidiary of PHE how do you come to the conclusion that W2T are 40% owners of PHE. Clearly you do not know company law.
