It does look like there may be more acquisitions to come. As I have noted before INFA does not have a presence in Wales yet.

LSE03 In relation to your 23.34 post of yesterday I note that Cammell Laird was recently awarded a £25m contract by CalMac to provide ship repair services. I also note that they were not awarded the higher value contract. As INFA now has a presence in Scotland this might give them a chance should they end up bidding against Cammell Laird on this.

whatamess In relation to your 13.25 post you seem to forget the revenues coming in from the ship repair work in Belfast which does provide some revenue so there is that revenue. Also you have obviously forgotten of that concept of a deposit. If I recall at the November Roadshow the CFO did say that they would ask for an advance payment. I therefore do not believe that there would necessarily be any reason for a further cash raise.

whatamess In relation to your 10.49 post with all due respect to you with the news in the Devonlive article plus the ongoing ship repair work at Belfast I can see no basis for your negativity. What information do you have that points to a need for a cash raise. I have previously posted my reasons for doubting your suggestion of an imminent cash raise and I am still waiting for you to provide a factual basis for your contiual suggestion that there will be a cash raise.

Tango1 In relation to your 07.25 post I do not think that the support vessels contract would be covered in the budget as that would be a separate issue and would in my view need a separate statement to Parliament. Whether it could be done by a direct award I am not sure about as there are at least two possible tenders. That said BAB has possible capacity issues due to the other defence contract they have. I think that an announcement on the supply ships and the wider integrated review is likely after the 11 March. This would allow for the post budget debates.

With the Budget question what does everyone hope/expect from the budget. I am hoping for some indication as to how the £100m of support to the fishing industry will be spent. I would hope that some will be used to help finance new fishing vessels that are built in the UK. I would not expect anything related to defence as that would probably left to the publication of the Integrated Review. With COP26 this year I would hope for some green initiatives.

whatamess in relation to your post of 17.36 I am not sure if Tango1 is just making an educated guess but having launched an apprenticeship scheme earlier this month INFA would need some work for the apprentices to learn from. So assuming that the apprentices will start in March some contract RNSs this week would seem logical.

LSE03 In relation to your 16.51 post the most interesting thing that I noted in the article is where it said 'DIT is working with BEIS colleagues on the Home Shipbuilding Guarantee Scheme, which will offer UK yards access to competitive finance to fulfil orders from UK customers.' This finance is likely to be of use to INFA with domestic orders would be interesting to see further details on it.

Speedy_Gonzalez In relation to your 17.23 post I read BewaretheBrokers 15.35 post as saying that he believes that at some point within the next two weeks something will happen to cause a sharp share price rise. That gives time for a contract or two. It would also give time for something to be said in the budget on the 3rd March to cause such a rise.

Bewarethebrokers In relation to your 15.35 post there is insufficient verifiable information at this time for me to agree to your conclusion. I would note, however, that the two week period would cover the period that includes the budget I would not as a result say you are wrong.

I wonder if INFA has a potential new client.

I have just checked the Belfast Harbour website and Stena Superfast VIII is showing as departing on the 22 February 2021 at 7.30am. However I cannot see either Stena Superfast arriving after that.

Bewarethebrokers In relation to your 20.38 post of yesterday what I am looking to see is if an assistance will be given to the fishing industry to buy better boats so they can compete better with our European friends. With the stipulation that any boats must be built in the UK.

Is it me trying to read too much into it or is the share price in a holding pattern as this is the second day that the share price has been unchanged.

Capdevila11 In relation to your 11.58 post the first indication that I would be looking for that cruise ships are coming into drydock at H&W would not be an announcement from the CEO or the Chairman but from the Belfast Harbour page. I note that was the first indication I had about the refit of the Celtic Explorer. In any case I would expect the share price of the cruise companies to go up first. The share price in INFA would only go up if and when there is a company announcement.
