The post reads 'Further to my post.....how many 10.000gross tonage or less ships. Could fit into the dry dock at one time? Is it possible to fit 4 vessels, at one time and work on each simultaneously?' I am not sure if anyone knows the answer. I am actually more interested in the question as it seems more like a customer query.

oldtramp Ref 13.53 post As you say an interesting speech I note that only two shipyards were mentioned Appledore which JW has said he would work hard to get the tender and Clyde the home to a Naval Base. I note Cammell Laird did not get even a oblique mention.

I see we now have about four or five cruise ships making weekly stops in Belfast which makes H&W well placed for doing repairs.

Schlum ref 09.12 post I remember reading something to that effect and it is certainly referenced in the brokers notes from Cenkos. Without looking up the notes I think there was talk of £350m of sub contracted work. Good thing I am not at H&W as I would use them not keeping to agreements on sub contracted work when doing tender bids as evidence that work would not be spread around other yards.

oldtramp ref your 17.52 post I am not entirely sure that the scaffolders and painters are needed for the Saipem Contract. The reasons for this are I am not sure due to the purpose of the jackets that they are going to be tall enough to require scaffolding to be used. Secondly the start date is two months after the start of the Saipem contract which would be strange if they are going to be used on Saipem contract. For example if the painters are going to paint the jackets I would expect the painters to be needed earlier than end of August as INFA appeared to be ready to start on July 1. If I am right that would imply that there is another contract which is due to start End of August.

I can see the logic of having someone with a dedicated focus on Social Media but they need to remember that not all shareholders will be on social media. Although I suspect that the target audience might be on prospective customers who in general will be on social media.

oldtramp ref 17.25 post On checking the arrivals at Methil port I noticed in July there were two cargo ships that berthed in the port. I am not sure if anyone knows if anybody else would be using the Port at Methil to bring cargo in.

The Belfast Harbour website has been updated to show that a vessel called the Arrow is due into the BBD at 08.40 tomorrow and is scheduled to leave at 12.00 on the 29 July. It looks like a emergency docking . A dross check with Vesselfinder.com shows a number of ships with the name Arrow so I cannot determine what type of vessel it is.

oldtramp ref 10.59 post When you look at the list of lease areas from the link in my 10.59 post all the areas would not be eligible for subsidies unless they use British manufacturers. These are not small areas the smallest will generate 480MW of energy.

I am not sure if this has been posted before but this is a lease of all the Crown Estate Round 4 Windfarm Leases https://www.thecrownestate.co.uk/en-gb/media-and-insights/news/2021-offshore-wind-leasing-round-4-signals-major-vote-of-confidence-in-the-uk-s-green-economy/ Going by the timetable given on this page they would start construction H2 next year subject to planning so over the next year there will be a substantial number of fabrication contracts for Jackets. Also please note these are in addition to the Crown Estate Scotland Scotwind leases mentioned in posts last week.

I note that the H&W Apprenticeship Scheme is due to start across all four sites in September. This would need an uptick in contracts as far as is known there is no work ongoing at Arnish. We can hope that there is the necessary work coming in to sustain the apprenticeship scheme.

Chrisatrdg With a week to go to the end of the month you might get a contract announcement that you were expecting.

This early in the morning I am going to tempt fate and ask this share trades the fundamentals have not changed so does anyone know why there was a change in sentiment yesterday afternoon causing the share price to start to rise.

Schlum ref 08.36 post the Belfast site is leased from the Belfast Harbour Commissioners. I stand to be corrected but I believe that Appledore is the only site they own the Freehold of.

Just seen this article https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-business-57904501. This looks like possible work in 23/24 but with 15 lease areas does not look like there will be any shortage of work. Saipem 2 will likely keep the fabrication work until these prospects start coming online..

bunsenburner123 Ref 15.16 post may also be a reaction to the Times story which names INFA as one of three companies in line to tender for the £150m contract to build the new flagship.
