BlairPeach ref 16.13 post in the RNS of 1 November which gave the interim results under Financial Overview it states 'All sites have now been fully paid for except Appledore, where there is a deferred consideration of £5.50 million payable to the vendors over 2021, 2022 and 2023. The deferred consideration portion for 2021 amounting to £1.50 million is due to the vendors at the end of the year.'

ThisTimeNextYeer ref 14.53 post I knew about the first six but did not notice about the Stena Foreteller it must have been added since my last check. I see that BBD is letting the side down as it only has the one vessel in it. Even the commissioning quay has two in it.

Chrisatrdg ref 17.44 post According to the Belfast Harbour website the Kociewie has moved around to the Commissioning Quay (OQ) where it is scheduled to be staying until Monday. It will be joined there tomorrow by the KMS KARELLE which is due to stay until Saturday. Giving a total of six vessels at Belfast.

What is the Commissioning Quay ( OQ) used for I ask as I note from the Belfast Harbour Website that the KOCIEWIE is moving around to the Commissioning Quay which it is scheduled to depart from on Monday.

LSE03 ref 07.59 post thanks for this I am not sure if IslandMagee comes within the requirement for mandatory referral. For downstream gas it includes Great Britain but excludes Northern Ireland. The issue is with regards to a Gas Interconnector License the provision in the guidance states 'holds a Gas Interconnector licence or exemption under the Gas Act 1986: this captures the owners and operators of gas interconnectors. For these purposes, a gas interconnector means any pipeline used to transfer gas between GB and another country or territory.' This definition would seem to cover the SNIP certainly if the SNIP was two way. In any event it would seem wise to do a voluntary referral.

CharlieSays ref 07.30 post The issue with the MCap for most shareholders is that it does not seem to represent fair value for HARL. When you look at the earnings potential of the HARL as shown in my recent posts the MCap does not reflect the value of contracts won or likely to be won. As an example the current Saipem contract is for £26m the follow on contract which HARL is likely to win is for £43m the combined value of these contracts are not reflected in the MCap. This is a long winded way of saying that shareholders would want the MCap to more properly reflect the fair value of the company.

Speedy_Gonzalez ref 21.49 post I think that your suggestion is at the far end of what is possible. To achieve earnings of £1bn you will need a combination of the items I mentioned in my 18.48 post plus some multi year dry docking contracts plus HARL to win a third of the current tenders it is bidding on. Even then it would need the realisable earnings under the contracts to be for a significant amount.

Lottie123 ref 03.37 post I agree that my estimate may be low but there is not the visibility on contract values to in my opinion justify a reasoned estimate above that. Having said that I agree with what you say about IM and wind fabrication contracts. On net profit on my £100m estimate gross margins would be circa £24m so I would expect net profits to be in the £5-8m based on current administrative expenses.

Just for fun the 2021 estimated earnings figure given by HARL in guidance is £30m. What does everyone think earnings will be in 2022. You must give reasons for your figure you cannot just state a figure. I will start my guess is £100m. The basis for that figure is earnings from Saipem 1 and 2 in 2022 is likely to be circa £31m. Then you have the Framework agreement with the RNLI there is insufficient information to make a reasonable guess but on the assumption that 10% of the fleet will need working on this would generate minimum earnings of £40m. Then we have ship repair work making up the remaining £30m.

oldtramp ref 18.31 post I agree that it is more than crane failure as it is in BBD. Also although it is currently scheduled to leave at 16.00 on 20th November in the status column it is showing PLN in white. On other occasions the departure has been rescheduled so it could be in port for longer.

oldtramp ref 17.48 post as they seem to be doing a rush recruitment I am going for a rush job unless it is both a rush job and a big contract. If you ask someone to do a rush job you will pay a premium. Also if you are doing night work HARL would probably have to pay unsociable hours rates of pay.

Wiseinvestor23 ref 17.23 post projected earnings for the year ending December 2021 as stated by the company is £30m which is significantly higher than the £10m for the 12 months to July 2021. I appreciate that it would appear to be double counting as the two periods overlap but I would argue it is not significant overlapping as most of the earnings for the year ending December 2021 is backloaded and was/would be generated in the period August to December 2021.

The question is whether HARL can increase earnings in the year to December 2022 above the £30m from 2021. There are indications that it could. My basis for saying that is in 2022 you would have the balance of the contracted revenues from the Saipem 1 contract which is £11m. Plus the earnings on the Saipem 2 contract this is a £43m contract but I will assume that half will fall due in 2022 which comes to £21m. Therefore from the two Saipem contracts HARL will earn in 2022 more than in 2021.
