The Belfast Harbour website is showing the Stena Hibernia as coming back into dry dock for another short stay. I can onlyy presume that the work was not completely finished and it is coming in for the work to be finished.

LSE03 ref 11.49 post I have no doubt that it was in for more than a new paint job. The amount of time it was in dry dock would seem to imply that it was having mechanical work done to it.

Just came across this in Cruise Industry News https://www.cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/27620-cunard-s-queen-victoria-welcomes-guests-back-in-southampton.html. She appears to be going on a number of cruises in the next year. As far as I can tell from the Belfast Harbour website the Queen Victoria is not back in Belfast until June next year. Perhaps the extended stay in dry dock was to carry out any additional work that would be needed before then. I had previously noted that the Queen Victoria was due to be making another visit to Belfast which does not seem to now be happening

ali1947fish ref 08.58 post the notice is what is referred to as an ITT or Invitation To Tender it is to allow people who are interested to bid to do the work outlined. In this case a new ferry to work on Lake Windermere. In my 08.46 post I was speculating as to whether HARL would put in a tender.

With the National Flagship this is being built with a consortium so while the headline figure sounds good we do not know how any profits will be shared out. As far as the M55 refurbishment is concerned this is supposed to be a two year contract so we do not know how much will be booked against this year.

What I am waiting to hear about are the fabrication contracts for the offshore windfarms. While there might be MoUs in place I want to see actual contracts with figures. At present I am going to keep with the company guidance of revenues in the £65-£75m range. There is as far as I can see currently insufficient information to support your figure.

oldtramp ref 14.50 post that would make sense with Belfast doing the 11 barges for the Cory Group as well as the usual ship repair work it might be at close to capacity.

Also on Saturday the Warship Brocklesby was spotted in the Belfast area. The Brocklesby is also a Hunt class mine hunter. So it may be that HARL is venturing into a new sphere of work. However, before the financial press runs with any story HARL and or the MOD would need to confirm that today's announcement is not a one off. CityAM in this article https://www.cityam.com/harland-wolff-buys-military-ship-from-mod/ does not seem to be implying that it is more than a one off.
