Nobby31 ref 23.08 I think you need to separate two different things. The current share price performance which is terrible to be polite and immediate trading prospects. The two are not in sync and frankly that is the fault of the PR team. Looking out two to three years if the management does its job then the trading prospects should be a lot better. As to the share price I think from comments that have previously been made it is going to be left to correct itself unless executive bonuses are tied in part to share price performance.

LSE03 thanks for this. When I first saw the subject I thought it was an error. I find it interesting that an online and a in person event is being put on. Hopefully they will have something interesting to say and it is not just jam tomorrow. I note that the in person event is not at the registered office.

oldtramp ref 15.45 post thanks for this. with these awards I would expect the contracts for the fabricating to follow shortly as the finance can be finalised. I note in the second link reference was made to the Stornoway Deep Water Terminal project. As you will no doubt recall HARL benefits from this by virtue of the new link road that will Arnish to the terminal. It would seem highly likely that the fabricating or a significant proportion of the fabricating for the Stornoway Wind Farm will go to Arnish. I say this as one of the partners in the developers is behind the Stornoway Masterplan. It is also possible that Arnish may pick up the Orkney projects as well. Finally is worth noting that the delivery date is 2029/27 which is around four years away.

Si_Derman ref 12.28 post the other two bidders are not in my view not real contenders as they do not have any shipyards in the UK. That is why I agree with Jabido that this is a straight fight between Team UK and Team Resolute.

Jabido ref 11.00 post thanks for this I am not sure if you noticed how Ben Wallace made reference to there not being another navy contract. He seems to be saying to BAB and BAe not to assume that you will always get the next contract. I agree with what you say about foreign investment. My recollection is that was made in response to a question asking him to agree to the work going to Scotland. As I understand his point if a foreign company was willing to put in investment to upskill the workforce as part of the bid for FSS while the UK bid was not willing to invest then the foreign company should be considered.

The FSS bids are not due in until the end of this month with signed contract due Q1 2023. I do not think the committee was amused by that timescale.

We have a serious problem with the situation around Ministers resigning. The Northern Ireland Secretary has resigned and of 8am this morning the only Ministers left in the NIO are the Minister of State Conor Burns and Lord Caine an unpaid Parliamentary Under Secretary of State. With the Northern Ireland Assembly in deadlock again I am not sure if there is anyone in charge. I am not sure when we will have a functioning NIO in place to move things on.

With all the resignations over the last 24 hours I am not sure if any contracts will be forthcoming in the near future as we will be having a game of musical chairs. So far it does not seem that any MoD ministers have resigned but they may be moved to fill the gaps left by ministers that have resigned

In the discussion on FSS I note that the Defence Secretary raised the issue of a foreign company offering to invest in the shipyard as part of the bid. While a British firm does not intend to invest. Is this a reference to Team Resolute as opposed to Team UK.

I note the comments at 14.45 about Harl . I also note that NIO are due to place orders for 5 - 6 vessels and HARL are involved in the competitions.

Si_Derman ref 21.33 post I thik you may be right because I was admittedly confused by the Northern Ireland Ministers conceding permission and not conceding the Judicial Review. It may be that they want a court ruling to make future applications easier. If I recall Ballyumford is hydrogen storage and not gas storage but are other gas storage applications in the offing?

Chitta123 ref 15.38 post Actually he has not. The award was to a similar project at Ballyumford to a consortium of which HARL I believe has an interest. It would not surprise me if the two projects end up merging but at present they are separate. Do you have a ink to the Belfast Telegraph article?

Chrisatrdg ref 10.59 post I only telephoned HARL on one occasion and could not get past the recetionist. I do not think that I have had an email on any subject other than about an event answered or acknowledged in about a year. Apparently some have so it may just be me. The impression is that they do not appreciate shareholders saying anything than how wonderful the progress is.

RichardMcV ref 13.45 post my recollection was the day they arrived. I believe that they shifted around yesterday to elsewhere in Belfast Harbour.

I note that neither of these two ships are as far as I can tell berthed at any H&W (Belfast) docks. Also all docks at this time as far as I can see from the Belfast Harbour website empty and I can see no indication of anything due in.

It is a matter of concern that out of date information is being reposted on LinkedIn. If information is going to be posted on LinkedIn it should surely be new information.

Hebridean9 ref 18.01 post I saw the RNS after writing my 17.47 post at least it confirmed my interpretation of the rules. I think the explanation lacks a degree of veracity in that I do not believe that it is the complete story.

We will find out tomorrow if the interpretation in my 16.26 post of Tuesday is correct if the audited accounts are not produced. Fingers crossed.
