However I disagree with you in relation to the cost burden of keeping IslandMagee as part of the group as opposed to an asset sale. A loan from them is effectively a loan from the Treasury. This would mean lower interest rates and therefore payments.
On your point about the price of gas this can be covered either by an offtake agreement with an agreed price. Alternatively, If the JR is resolved in time use CfD Round 5 funding to get an agreed price for the gas. I do not see anything from this week's events at would make this scenario unlikely.
