it is a good post and does raise a valid question. Purely from a financial standpoint I can understand SS not having his money tied-up. If someone told me a can put 10k in a pot and I 3 years time I can take 20k out OR I can put the 10k in the day before I take the 20K out I'd choose the latter. However I'd agree that as a CEO he should be showing faith and solidarity with his shareholders and his taking up of option could do wonders for shareholder confidence. A couple of considerations though. SS comes across as quite a proud man to me. He has a good record in the O&G industry and for me it seems this is more than just about money (I'm sure i'll be shot down on this by some). It wouldn't surprise me if therefore he has said to himself I'm going to make UKOG into a profit making production company before I take my reward. There's also a chance that as per my analogy above he will not take his options until he thinks its a good time to sell as he stands to make the same money without tieing up his money. Perhaps both of these are true. I for one will be looking very closely at where we are when SS takes up his options and whether that is a good indicator that its time to sell!

Just hope the flow figure reflect the professionalism with which the HH is being developed. Its slow but methodical. IF we can even get the 700bopd that I believe is firmly on the cautious side it will work wonders for UKOG as people will realise that the 3500bopd from HH is more than just a pipe dream and how this may be replicated throughout the Weald

if you count tankers this side of Christmas you will be disappointed. There will be a lot of short production runs, shut ins, messing with pump speeds etc. Best we can hope for are some initial flow figures.

Doubt they know much about a flow test that hasn’t started and if “they” did they’d probably be selling more than £999 quids worth.

I can understand the larger round numbers. Tellurian and YA. selling is what they do. Its the smaller what appear to be PIs I cant understand. And NO it nothing to do people in the "know" or indeed the prospects of the flow tests. it's PIs losing their nerve / patience just as the very thing that drew them to the share in the first place is about to kick off. Strange indeed.

Think it says everything we need to know. A nod to say the clean up is done and production tubing in and we're ready to flow would be a bonus.

Don't forget this is not a drill and hope, the well has targeted specifically a known oil producing zone and has 70 x exposure to the sweet spot than the existing HH-1 well. 70 X! That a lot of extra exposure. Of course 700-900 bopd would be good - mission accomplished. But I'm hoping to top 1000 comfortably. Time will tell

Rich I think there is a lot more caution this time following the last horizontal UKOG drilled. However those closer (more research) will understand that the likelihood of success on this one in extremely good. Then there's the YA / tellurian overhang of course. This will unfortunately stifle the SP response to any news, but I would expect good figures to send this upwards regardless, then once the overhang cleared and CPR comes, we could be multiples of where we are now. So yes I'm afraid patience is required. GLA

I wouldn't say they mean nothing/ they indicate whether the trade was above or below the midpoint ant the time of reporting. If the trade is reported in a timely fashion i'd estimate 95-99% of the time its a good indicator as to whether the trade was a buy or a sell. Problem comes when occasionally (can't say i've experienced it) when you can buy below mid or sell above it. Then there's the large trades that are only reported when order has been fulfilled ( and might have actually been split into several smaller trades) and with late reported trades.

I don't think they have to but I believe SS has been more communicative of late so I think we will get an RNS to state testing has commenced. very possibly in the next day or 2.
I expect a lot of shut -ins/ short production runs/ messing with pump speed etc. so I wouldn't be taking too much from the tanker count initially.
