Agreed.
These things are clearly impossible to forecast. But the repairs will be made when they are made and it doesn’t matter at all whether it is next week, or the week after that, or even longer.
It’s happening.
Can those with more expertise explain how long it will take for the production test to be completed once the repair is finished?
I tell you what Dave, I’m definitely going to buy into this now you’ve had an incredibly positive private conversation with the CEO re funding, of which you can’t divulge the content.
Thank you so much!
The exact inverse is true. It’s still not too late to sell. Although you’d have been better off doing so in the 20’s when I first started arguing this. This is going down to single figures under the pressure of RF’s constant selling.
You longs need to have a look at the sunk cost fallacy. Because your “reasoning” here is illogical and fallacious.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunk_cost
I’m in.
There should be some traders coming in as word spreads of the production test. Then of course there is the test itself!
We’ll see how it goes anyway.
Smart move..
You don’t catch a falling knife, you drop it and bind up the wound it caused you.
GDR will have it’s time in the sun at some future date. But stubbornly holding on as RF continues to dump is madness. Buy back in when they have finished selling.
Well we will know by watching the share price action.
You and I were arguing the other day about whether we had DEVOTE funding. You were right. But so what? It has had no impact on the share price, none at all. All because the rally was strangled at birth by River Fort dumping into it.
That was a big deal. Long anticipated as a positive driver for the stock. Is the same going to happen with something even bigger? An FDA submission? With a promising rally snuffed out by a deluge of RF’s newly printed shares mopping up the buy interest? We have to hope not.
Where IS the FDA submission by the way? They were promising news about progress in November last year. We are not talking about it it being granted. Everyone knows that can be tortuous. Just about a submission. How hard is it to make one of those?
Do they just not have enough money, and no further way of raising any?
Exactly.
The lower the price the more shares need to be printed to pay back the debt, and the greater the dilution and the more shares then need to be unloaded onto the market. It feeds on itself.
There isn’t enough liquidity to absorb this remorseless R F dumping. The DEVOTE announcement sucked in some newbies for RF to sell to, like Potty, but where will fresh buyers come from without further news?
I can see this going below 10p I really can. The way the DEVOTE announcement was shrugged off as if nothing had happened was telling.
I once thought it would be transformational for the company. More fool me.
Hi Potty
I hope you make money here over the long term.
But short term it is likely to be choppy. Some on here believed (bless!) that River Fort have the interests of Genedrive and its shareholders at heart and want to protect the share price because they have warrants which are under water.
Now the penny has dropped that they will dump their large shareholding in a continuous manner whatever the share price is, and whatever the effect this has on it. Indeed if it is low they will get even more shares to sell along with their warrants in case there is a lift off on news.
It is a great strategy from their point of view. They get their money back whatever happens and if the company has a great run on exciting news they get to make the big bucks.
But it hardly needs to be said that this will provide a powerful drag on the stock. As soon as we get rallies, as we did over DEVOTE they will sell into it. And without rallies they will drip drip drip sell, on tiny volume, driving the price down.
And this isn’t about to end as the company will need further drawdowns as there is no income from sales. There is no sign of sales. The company has yet to demonstrate it is able to monetise its technology in any way at all. Even though it has been approved for use for some months now.
It’s funding has totally been totally from grants and death spiral finance from River Fort.
So long term the company is an exciting prospect. But short term, not so much.
Most of the longs on here are deeply in the red. You need to ask yourself why that is?
Sell on the spike!
This won’t last.
I don’t think there’ll be any update on the NICE stroke recommendation consultation to trigger a spike.
I emailed NICE to ask what the status was since the consultation ended on 9 June and they replied to simply say that the consultation data would be considered at a committee meeting on 27 July.
So I would expect there to be no news on the subject from either NICE of the company itself until after that date. If you don’t believe me you are welcome to contact them yourself. The email address is on the NICE website.
It doesn’t look like we are going to get anything as regards DEVOTE either. We don’t seem to have even applied if the poster with a contact at the company is to be believed..
So the only short term “news flow” that I can see is a potential FDA submission and/or some actual sales.
I leave readers of this board to decide for themselves how likely those are before 27 July..
It looked like it was ready to move at noon, and it did. You noticed the action too I think.
Not sure why you think it won’t go up further tomorrow? The NICE Consultation has clearly been completed. When that is confirmed we should see a spike.
The Offer is slowly going up. I’ve been tracking it.
Could be the beginning of a move…
In other news are we going to get the announcement that the consultation has been completed soon?
The bleeding seems to have stopped.
The NHS as a pretty much the only nationalised healthcare system in the world (Cuba?) ought to be the very best in implementing such an effective, low cost, (indeed cost saving) procedure .
It could be driven centrally and introduced instantly everywhere.
The fact that even after it is fast track approved it will get taken up in a piecemeal manner, and at a snail’s pace, says all you need to know as to why no other advanced country has ever copied the model.
We are told constantly that all the NHS needs is more money. There is no systemic failure. Yet this hearing test SAVES money!
The share price is drifting because there is no news of the consultation. Which ended the 9 June. Four days ago.
I don’t think there is likely to be a problem there but the market always dislikes uncertainty.
I still think there will be a relief rally (if and) when it is announced, but what do I know?
Apart from that we need some sales. It is pointless the company pointing out how many distributors it has across the world. In fact it merely highlights their marketing and sales incompetence and uselessness.
They have a world class product. When are there going to be some frigging sales??
Coming back to the share price, which is what some of us are interested in, it is notable that there is no anticipation of an announcement of the consultation period ending. Which was 9 June as I remember.
There could be a short term trading opportunity, because these consultations are a formality, right?
The problem is that the spread is so wide and any rally will be very brief, meaning that it is hardly an enticing trade.
But there should, logically, be a nice spike soon. If short.
That’s a false dichotomy.
Investing is gambling.
At least, if by “investing”, we are talking about buying and selling Genedrive shares.
Well, I’ve lost patience and I’m out.
A small loss on the recent position but up £28K overall. I’ll keep checking in but don’t expect there to be much of interest here until the early Autumn when the stroke test for NICE comes to the boil. There could be a spike over the next day or so leading to the end of the consultation on Friday, but the risk reward wasn’t there for me. So little volume, so hard to find buyers for your shares if the FOMA doesn’t arrive..
And I believe the poster who says that there isn’t any specific DEVOTE funding, so although I do still think the company will eventually get some of the money in some shape of form I don’t think this will be a game changer. That was my main reason to be in now..
There will probably be some unexpected news causing a big spike at some time or other before the autumn, but it’s nigh on impossible to predict when, and too hard therefore to trade. I’m not going to keep holding onto a position that keeps declining day after day in the hope of that.
Get real.
The funds will find their way to Genedrive.
Well it’s not been a good day to be a holder of this stock, not going to deny that. There’s been a big paper loss during the course of it.
But it might prove a VERY good one to be a buyer…
I’ve said many times that I’m not a fan of averaging down. Four times out of five it works fine, but there’s a circa 20% chance of losing a lot of money even with a tightish stop. Essentially you’ve thrown good money after bad and overridden your initial stop loss.
But there are situations where that very wise trading rule might be broken. Special situations. And I think this is one of them.
Hope I’m right!
Could we have news of that DEVOTE funding now, Genedrive?
We’ll see!
