There's no reason to encourage people to buy right now, except when the SP drops to <0.4p. At that point I'm sure even reso is buying with a view to selling later at >0.5p. But I wouldn't be encouraging people to sell with a head in the hands kind of attitude that WHYAST seems to have. We need people to stay 'invested' (in quotes for reso) to ensure the system has time to sort this out.

It's not just Colin anymore. The system includes, Sophie Honey, the B.C.of C., Jure Leben, ARSO and even the PM of Slovenia, as well as Colin. This needs sorting rapidly now to ensure a local gas supply sometime in the near future for Slovenia.

Of course, as I said to FX, if Slovenia are not interested then INA need to get into gear and get the wells stimulated to get a gas flow to their Molve plant. They don't need the IPPC.

This has to be one of the best prospects in AIM. With four locations, one creating income now, another which should be in the middle of 2019 and two other very good prospects, especially Redmoor in Cornwall. The SP right now has to be an excellent buy with very little downside risk.

We're still waiting for the main client to restart at Cobre. When that happens the SP will re-rate to where it had been previously with the main client operating. Not sure why the excessive delay for that to happen as I recall they ceased back in April, or was it March? How long does it take to get their certification back again? If it doesn't happen JP has a quarterly non refundable amount from them, and the magnetite is till there.

FX, Thanks for that. I had the possibility of getting out at a good profit a couple of years ago. However I believed the SP would rise when AST were producing and making money. Didn't happen. Now I would be happy to break even to move my money to a share which is stable and with dividend income.

The production numbers can't be improved with AST on their own. They need a big player like INA to come in to get these wells stimulated to get a stable gas flow to their plant at Molve. That may even require INA buying AST out as Slovenia don't seem interested in accessing the gas for themselves.

I suppose the SP is being kept down today because of selling by the 1p placers getting their 5% to 8% profit. Hopefully that will abate shortly and the SP can be released to rise.

Encouraging people to sell WHYAST? I understand your frustration but do you really think that would help you? The SP will only head further south. Best encourage others to hold or buy. That way the SP will hold up and could even rise. Personally I would be happy for this board to considerably more boring if the SP were to double and more. Bring it on.

No one involved in the decision making can afford to wait too long now for a sensible outcome. The Minister's move came almost three months after the agreement made between ARSO and the B.C. of C. on 8th August. AST money starts to look short by the end of the year. They're running on a shoe string now but could maybe spin it out for longer, although it's becoming critical. All others involved in the decision making with this in Slovenia must be acutely embarrassed with the sudden volte face made by Jure Leben with the agreement already in place.

JL is acting very strangely for a Minister with his responsibilities. He can't just do whatever he likes, although he's trying to do just that. Maybe he's reso? (Sorry, sensibleness slipped a little there).

Not just one large buy but at least 6 reasonable size buys after 4pm. Some people are optimistic this is going to get sorted. It really should be as the current problem is down to just one person, albeit the Environment Minister responsible. The Slovenian government needs to follow it's own policy of making life easier for foreign investment as stated on their own website.

Any chance of anyone replying on this thread? It's maybe a little too optimistic for some.

You keep on about how small the Slovenian gas would be for Russia to care about. All the evidence of how Russia acts worldwide is that they go against any possible reduction in their political influence. This is all about political influence. Just look at the Ukraine. Their gas imports from Russia have been cut off because of politics.

You keep on with this nonsense about Russia not being bothered when all of the evidence shows otherwise. Were they not bothered about Skripal being in the U.K.? Were they not bothered about the Crimea?

Russia will try to stop Slovenia losing out their virtual 100% import of gas from Russia or they will stop their 100% political influence.

This closed on a significant uptrend in the last half hour. Ramping? Just a fact. Maybe the final bit of buying showed some optimism of what will happen going forward. This has to be sorted out, and shortly.

FF, It does seem odd that the Minister clearly has strong views on the environment and is looking to implement them as the Environment Minister. Far from wishing to speed up the process it would appear they are looking to simplify the process. That doesn't mean speeding it up.

reso, I'm sure Slovenia is a very nice place and I know people who have visited have said it is very nice and so are the people. In the case we are talking about here it is all about the attitude of one individual, the Minister, who has taken a position which is against everything so far agreed with AST, it's partners Geonergo and Geoterm and the B.C. of C.. He may have laudable personal views but he is messing about with a company that has invested 50 million in to his country of which he is a government minister. He is also going against agreements made with the B.C. of C. on 8th August, nearly three months ago.

I have never encouraged anyone to buy this stock. I only talk about the company, the difficulties it has and the direction it appears to be going in.

You are talking rubbish in your post. I can not understand some people who come on here and imply stuff which is just imaginary in their eyes.

I remember you from past postings as I always thought it odd that someone calling themselves 'straighttalker' was anything but a straight talker.

Not sure how anyone can think I'm a ramper? Just check my posting history. More a realist. This company has serious problems and could go under if the Minister prevents any movement on the permits. INA could operate without the IPPC but would still need stimulation permits. This situation is very serious for AST. But the Minister will not be interested in whether our investment does well or not. If you want your investment to succeed you have to see the advantages for Slovenia to have this gas and how the environment can also be protected. That's the only way to positively influence this Minister.

Tony, Emphasising your investment in AST to Jure Leben will have no effect. In fact it will strengthen his current thinking. Emphasising the effect on people in Slovenia this Winter would be much more effective.

Being abusive to me is unnecessary and doesn't help anyone, least of all you.
